[SCOUT DAY]
PBIers, did you know that August 14 is celebrated as Pramuka Day to honour the organisation's first public parade in 1961? Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX of Yogyakarta was appointed as the first Chief Scout of the GPI.
Also the name Pramuka was derived from the acronym of "Praja Muda Karana" that has the meaning of young people who love to work.
Happy 61st year of Scout Day.

"Keep raising the coconut shoots for the future of a prosperous Indonesia!"

[ISLAMIC NEW YEAR: 1444 H]
Today, the Moslems across the world welcome the year 1444.

The Islamic year started when Prophet Mohammed made the journey from Mecca to Medina in 622 AD. However, Umar ibn al-Khattab, the second caliph, decided the starting point of the calendar in 639 AD, and that is the year used since then.

We're wishing our Moslem PBIers a wonderful year. May you have a peaceful Islamic New Year!

[NATIONAL AWAKENING DAY]
PBIers, did you know that 20th May is always commemorated as National Awakening Day?
It all began when Indonesia in 1908 started to
raise their will and call of awakening to claim the independence.
Today, in 2022, the 144th commemoration of National Awakening Day is taking "Ayo Bangkit Bersama!" (Let's rise together!) as the theme. It's chosen due to the pandemic that has struck us in the last 2 years, it's a call for awakening, it's a call to rise up from the situation we've been fighting over. We won't be defeated by the pandemic, we will rise up and claim our lives!

Rise! We are a strong nation! Have a great awakening day, PBIers❤️

[VESAK DAY]
This year, Vesak falls on Monday, 16th May.
The changes of the date is due to the first full moon. When the moon gets its full shape, that's when Vesak Day celebrated.

Vesak, also known as Buddha Day, is one of he most important Buddhist festivals because it celebrates the birthday of Buddha, and for some Buddhists, this day marks the time when Buddha discovered the meaning of life.

Pain is certain, suffering is selective.
Happy Vesak Day to our Buddhist fellows!
