Alumni Event Lookbacks | Viktória Sipos on Career Transitions and Lifelong Learning
We were pleased to welcome Viktória Sipos back to the Faculty in March as part of this semester’s Career Night series. An alumna of both the bachelor’s and master’s programs at the University of Pécs, she now serves as Operations Manager at Deutsche Telekom.
The event was hosted in collaboration with the International Student Organization, University Business Club, and the Centre for Applied Learning—bringing together students, alumni, and faculty for an inspiring evening of professional insight.
During her visit, Viktória shared reflections on her journey from university life to a dynamic career that has spanned both marketing and IT. As a Hungarian student who studied in the English-language program, her experience offered valuable insights for both Hungarian and international students.
Her key message was simple but powerful: keep learning, stay open, and don’t be afraid to pivot. “It’s never too late to learn something new,” she told the audience—an idea that resonated deeply with students preparing to enter today’s evolving job market.
We’re thankful for her inspiring visit and look forward to welcoming more alumni in the future to share their unique career paths.

At the University of Pécs Faculty of Business and Economics, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom. iExpo is one of our flagship events where students get the chance to present their business ideas, research projects, and entrepreneurial concepts in a reverse job fair setting.
• Instead of looking for opportunities, students showcase their own innovations to industry professionals.
• Experts, company representatives, and HR professionals evaluate projects, provide feedback, and may even discover future employees.
• It’s a space for networking, learning, and bridging the gap between academia and the business world.
Last year’s iExpo brought together over 230 students, 70 corporate partners from 40 companies, and 40 professors, creating an inspiring environment of collaboration and growth. It was a true testament to the potential and creativity of our students.
This year, we’re excited to do it all over again. Mark your calendars—iEXPO 2025 is happening on May 7th. We look forward to another successful event filled with amazing ideas and meaningful connections.

We’re always working to improve the quality of education and strengthen our international reputation, and we would like to share another milestone with our community.
The Faculty of Business and Economics has received two new international accreditations. After successfully accrediting our Bachelor’s program in 2020 (renewed in 2023), our MSc in Management and Leadership (English-language) has now also been recognized by the EFMD accreditation committee!
This achievement makes UPFBE the only institution in Hungary to hold EFMD accreditation for both its bachelor’s and master’s programs—something we’re incredibly proud of.
We’re celebrating this success, but we’re not stopping here! Our commitment to excellence and international recognition continues, and we look forward to even more achievements ahead.
