📯 On the 3rd of June, the first graduates of the recently launched MA in Instruction of English as a Foreign Language program completed their studies with exceptional results.

🥂 Congratulations to Kunkli-Halmos Judit, Csenge Szekera, Jalkóczi Miklós Márton, András Tóth and their supervisors, Dr. Ildikó Csépes, Dr. Hegedűs Gabriella and Dr. Lénárt-Muszka Zsuzsanna.

🤩 We are very much looking forward to working with the new year group joining in September.

🎤 Last week, the Writing Lab's amazing mentors completed the second round of the MEGA EYE Speaking Prep series to help students prepare for the speaking component of the English Yardstick Exam.

🍾🎉Congratulations, Kornélia Radóczi for bringing the silver home from the IEAS Student Researcher Conference (KTDK) last week with your presentation, A comparison of English coursebooks: The aspects of narrative-driven and patchwork-like coursebooks!

🦸‍♀️ Representing our department, Dr. Szabó Fruzsina ran a workshop and delivered a talk at IATEFL 2026 in Brighton at the end of April.

🧠 Her workshop focused on the perceived gaps between pre-service teacher trainees' methodological knowledge and the reality of classroom practicum.

🧘‍♀️ Her presentation talk introduced the findings of a pilot intervention programme to enhance mental health awareness in pre-service trainees' teacher training courses.

⚖️ Városunkba érkeztek a Critical thinkers – angol vitaklubok elnevezésű tehetséggondozó programban részt vevő középiskolások, és ha már itt voltak, izgalmas vitákban mérték össze tudásukat, melyek értékelésében tanszékünk oktatója, Bölcskei Erzsébet is részt vett. 🙌
