School of the Hand of God (L'ecole de la Main Divine) Formerly called Institution Mixte Frere Dimanche.

Students learned how to read and write Creole, study the Bible and take care of themselves by preventing deadly diseases. Their biggest expenses were teachers’ salaries and rent for the school building.
