Be confident
Self-confidence is considered as the engine of a car. The role of the engine is to make the car function because it is the only thing that will give it the power to move even though it has already had all the other parts. So, it is the same for a leader. Eleanor Roosevelt says: “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” I believe self-confidence is what can help me forge my capacity and ability to respond to the demand of what my group is longing for. I believe as, James Merritt, in his book, How to impact and influence others, says: “You are an appointment not an accident, and that you have the inborn potential to have an incredibly positive influence on the lives of others”, I am an appointment not an accident. And that is what gives me the capacity to say that I am able to lead my home communities.
