Tip — The “ou” Sound
In Haitian Creole
ou is always pronounced like the English word “you” —
but shorter, rounder, and never like “oh.”

Practice Words
Ou = You

Bonjou = Good morning

Moun = Person / People

Say it like this
bonjou → boh-ZJOO (not bohn-JOH)

moun → moo-N (short, clean “oo”)

ou → oo (not “oh” or “ow”)
