It’s easy to lose our passion in life. When we’ve gone through disappointments, dreams are taking longer than we thought, we’re dealing with a challenge. If we’re not careful, we’ll become complacent, where we’re not believing for things to turn around, not expecting good breaks. But Paul said in Romans, “Be glad for all God is planning for you.” If you could see what God has planned for you, if you knew the doors He’s going to open, the people you’re going to meet, the giants you’re going to defeat, the explosive blessings that are going to catapult you forward, then you would go out each day with a spring in your step, excited about your future, expecting God to show out in your life. That expectancy is what allows God to do great things. That’s your faith at work.

God is up to something in your life. He knows what is in your future. He is preparing you and getting you ready. If there is a yes in your heart, it is because God placed it there. It’s time to act on your yes. It’s not in you by accident. Let the yes drown out the no that is trying to talk you out of what God has put in your heart.

It’s easy to look at other people who seem to be extraordinarily gifted and excelling, who seem to have a great purpose for living, and wonder, “Wow! What happened to me?” When we compare what we’re doing to what they’re doing, we feel plain and ordinary. We’re so focused on our job, raising our family, solving problems, and paying the bills that it can be hard to recognize our purpose. But just because we aren’t seeing or feeling God’s purpose doesn’t mean it’s not there. God wants to be in your life. If you set your life purpose on Him, you’re going to look back some day and say, “God, You did more than I could ask, think, or imagine.”
