You may have heard some or all of the bad news coming from Haiti recently, but what you don’t hear about is all of the children who still want to attend school, no matter what else is going on.
In the far southwest of Haiti, where infrastructure improvements are scarce, and government aid is essentially non-existent, there are thousands of children who want to attend school, but cannot afford the costs of tuition and the supplies they need to be successful.
You can help them by supporting Happy Kids, an initiative to provide elementary school students with backpacks, notepads, pens, pencils, pencil sharpeners, and other essential supplies, without which they would not be equipped for the school year ahead. Last year, Happy Kids provided over 1,000 kids with school supplies. This year, with your support, we want to double the number of Happy Kids students who will be ready for school with everything they need to succeed, and get a good education.
This year the projection for 2,000 kids is $8,070, and we’ve already raised $500, so whatever you can donate to make that upcoming year less difficult for them and their parents will be appreciated. Education is the best way to prepare a child for a better future, and you can make that happen with your contribution.
100% of all proceeds are used to purchase school supplies for students who would not otherwise be able to afford them.
