On Sunday, November 3, the graduation of the first cohort of AWE (Academy for Women Entrepreneurs) took place, marking the beginning of a new adventure. They were certified as Entrepreneurs, with 25 young women graduating with extensive knowledge in the field. Our ceremony was presided over by our MC, Mrs. Katie-Flore Fils-Aime. There was a speech from the project manager, Angie Bell, followed by a press release from Amparo Gracia of the United States Embassy in Haiti. Before the end of the ceremony, the US Embassy of Haiti also gave a significant certificate of recognition to the AWE staff for their work. After a speech from one of the participants, Lyne Prisca Desravines, on behalf of all, and following the awarding of certificates, there were also awards for punctuality and active participation, as well as prizes for the pitch competition. It is worth noting that the students made a symbolic gesture towards the University of the Atlantes for its hospitality, and the ceremony concluded successfully.
