U svibnju smo gostovali u podcastu kod naših studentica s Odsjeka za izobrazbu učitelja i odgojitelja. Odgovarali smo na pitanja simpatične voditeljice, studentice Mateje Milas, o uporabi ChatGPT-a u nastavi te govorili o dobrobitima tog alata kao i o opasnostima koje se kriju iza njegove neprikladne uporabe. Pozdravljamo inicijativu naših studentica za ovakvom izvannastavnom aktivnošću te se radujemo što možemo širiti spoznaje o ChatGPT-u i ovakvim kanalima.

In May, we were guests on a podcast with our students at the Department of Teacher Education. We answered questions from the lovely host, Miss Milas, about the use of ChatGPT in teaching and talked about the benefits of this tool as well as the dangers that lie behind its inappropriate use. We welcome our students' initiative for such an extracurricular activity and look forward to spreading knowledge about ChatGPT through such channels.

ChatGPT-M u Istanbulu

Od 4. do 8. svibnja 2026. voditeljica projekta, doc.dr.sc. Zrinka Fišer, boravila je u Istanbulu, Turskoj, u sklopu ERASMUS+ mobilnosti u svrhu podučavanja. Nastavnom osoblju School of Languages na Ibn Haldun University predstavila je ciljeve ChatGPT-M projekta kao i preliminarne rezultate analize korelacija između rezultata na skali o učestalosti uporabe ChatGPT-a i na skali o percipiranom riziku uporabe tog alata u nastavnom procesu. Riječ je o prvom krugu istraživanja na početku eksperimentalnog perioda uporabe ChatGPT-a u prvoj godini projekta u kojem su sudjelovali nastavnici i studenti Odsjeka za izobrazbu učitelja i odgojitelja na Sveučilištu u Slavonskom Brodu. Nalazi su predstavljeni i kolegama koji su iz Slovenije, Bugarske, Grčke, Italije i Bosne i Hercegovine došli na ERASMUS+ E.N.G.A.G.E. Staff Week BIP programa organiziranog na istom sveučilištu. Projektne aktivnosti zainteresirale su sve prisutne pa je sklopljen i dogovor o sudjelovanju Ibn Haldun University u projektnim aktivnostima čime se projekt širi u drugu fazu gdje se obuhvaćaju nastavnici i studenti s drugih visokih učilišta.



ChatGPT-M in Istanbul

From 4 to 8 May 2026, the project leader, Associate Professor Zrinka Fišer, PhD, visited Istanbul, Türkiye, an ERASMUS+ teaching mobility programme. During her stay, she presented the objectives of the ChatGPT-M project to the teaching staff of the School of Languages at Ibn Haldun University, together with preliminary findings from the analysis of correlations between scores on the ChatGPT usage frequency scale and the perceived risk scale regarding the use of this tool in the teaching process.

These findings derive from the first round of research conducted at the beginning of the experimental period of ChatGPT implementation during the first year of the project. The study involved both teachers and students from the Department of Teacher and Preschool Teacher Education at the University of Slavonski Brod.

The results were also presented to colleagues from Slovenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina who participated in the ERASMUS+ E.N.G.A.G.E. Staff Week BIP programme organised at the same university. The project activities attracted considerable interest among all participants, resulting in an agreement for Ibn Haldun University to join the project activities. This collaboration marks the expansion of the project into its second phase, which includes the involvement of teachers and students from other higher education institutions.

Peti sastanak ChatGPT-M projektnog tima

Dana 21. travnja 2026. godine održan je peti sastanak ChatGPT-M projektnog tima. Na sastanku je usvojen zapisnik s prethodnog sastanka te dnevni red, nakon čega je predstavljen izvještaj o dosad provedenim projektnim aktivnostima.

Posebna pozornost posvećena je izvješću o uporabi ChatGPT licenci te dosadašnjim iskustvima članova tima u korištenju alata u nastavnim, istraživačkim i administrativnim aktivnostima.

Zaključeno je kako su prikupljeni podatci za sve skupine, osim jedne na diplomskom studiju. Isti su trenutno u postupku statističke obrade koju provode doc. dr. sc. Zrinka Fišer i doc. dr. sc. Ivana Hanzec Marković.

Članovi projektnog tima dogovorili su daljnje korake vezane uz analizu podataka i interpretaciju rezultata istraživanja. U sklopu planiranja nadolazećih aktivnosti raspravljalo se o sudjelovanju na Festivalu znanosti, pri čemu je dogovoreno tko će pripremati poster, predavanje ili radionicu povezanu s temom projekta. Osim toga, članovi tima razgovarali su o planovima za pisanje pojedinačnih i zajedničkih znanstvenih radova koji će proizaći iz projektnih aktivnosti i rezultata istraživanja.

Članovi projektnog tima izrazili su zadovoljstvo dosadašnjim napretkom i uspješno provedenim aktivnostima projekta te su raspravili o planu projektnih aktivnosti za svibanj i lipanj. Dogovoreni su daljnji koraci vezani uz organizaciju i provedbu projektnih zadataka, kao i sudjelovanja i izlaganja na konferencijskim događanjima.



The Fifth Meeting of the ChatGPT-M Project Team

On 21 April 2026, the fifth meeting of the ChatGPT-M project team was held. During the meeting, the minutes from the previous meeting and the proposed agenda were formally adopted, after which a report on the project activities implemented so far was presented. Particular attention was given to the report on the use of ChatGPT licences and to the experiences of team members in applying the tool within teaching, research, and administrative activities.

It was concluded that data had been collected for all participant groups except for one group at the graduate study level. The collected data are currently undergoing statistical analysis conducted by Assistant Professors Zrinka Fišer, PhD, and Ivana Hanzec Marković, PhD. The project team members also agreed on the next steps related to data analysis and the interpretation of research findings.

As part of planning forthcoming activities, discussions focused on participation in the Festival of Science, including agreements regarding the preparation of posters, lectures, and workshops related to the project topic. In addition, the team members discussed plans for writing individual and collaborative scientific papers arising from the project activities and research results.

The project team members expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved and the successful implementation of project activities to date. They also discussed the project activity plan for May and June and agreed on further steps related to the organisation and implementation of project tasks, as well as participation and presentations at upcoming conference events.

Članovi ChatGPT-M projektnog tima pripremili su postere, predavanja i radionice u sklopu Festivala znanosti 2026.

Doc. dr. sc. Zrinka Fišer izložila je poster naslova “Shift the energy with ChatGPT”. Isti je prikazao kako izgaranje u obrazovanju postaje sve izraženiji izazov suvremenog nastavničkog poziva te kako umjetna inteligencija, poput ChatGPT-a, može pružiti podršku u planiranju, izradi materijala i administrativnim zadacima. Naglasak je bio na tome kako primjena istih zahtijeva odgovoran i uravnotežen pristup uz zadržavanje ključne uloge nastavnika u odgojno-obrazovnom procesu.

Studentice 4. godine Učiteljskog studija, Stela Panković, Lucija Bertol i Matea Milas, uz vodstvo dr. sc. Marije Lesandrić, pripredile su interaktivnu radionicu „Veliki pokus: ChatGPT i tajna energije“. Za cilj je imala kroz igru, istraživanje, uporabu ChatGPT-a i jednostavne pokuse uvesti djecu u svijet energije i njezinih oblika.

Doc. dr. sc. Anita Katić održala je predavanje i radionicu na temu „Matematika u prirodi – energija koja oblikuje svijet“, a za izradu prezentacije i materijala koristila je ChatGPT.

Members of the ChatGPT-M project team prepared posters, lectures, and workshops as part of the Festival of Science 2026.

Assistant Professor Zrinka Fišer, PhD, presented a poster entitled “Shift the Energy with ChatGPT.” The poster highlighted how burnout in education is becoming an increasingly prominent challenge of the contemporary teaching profession and demonstrated how artificial intelligence tools, such as ChatGPT, can support teachers in lesson planning, material development, and administrative tasks. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for a responsible and balanced implementation of such technologies while preserving the central role of teachers within the educational process.

Fourth-year students of the Primary Teacher Education programme, Stela Panković, Lucija Bertol, and Matea Milas, under the mentorship of Marija Lesandrić, PhD, prepared an interactive workshop entitled “The Great Experiment: ChatGPT and the Secret of Energy.” Through play, inquiry-based activities, the use of ChatGPT, and simple experiments, the workshop aimed to introduce children to the concept of energy and its various forms.

Assistant Professor Anita Katić, PhD, delivered a lecture and workshop entitled “Mathematics in Nature – The Energy that Shapes the World,” for which ChatGPT was used in the preparation of the presentation and accompanying educational materials.
