In this short video I show you how to get a conch out of its shell and prep it for making some awesome conch dishes. I use the back of a regular hammer to crack the conch shell & a pair of pliers to pull him out.

Engine overheating? In this video, I show you an alternative method sea flush using to us Barnacle buster; descale my Yanmar Diesel engine heat exchanger on my sailboat, boat. This method does not require an external pump. Simple & effective. Leaving the solution inside the engine raw water system over night. This method is developed by the manufacturer but not well explained.

cruising old Havana, Cuba on a motorcycle. Yeees finally, the boat is ready to leave Cuba. Recording sailing from marina Hemingway to Isla mujuers in Mexico. We could not make it to Mexico, Engine problems have us stuck in Cayo Levisa 80nm West of Havana where we spend New Years. hard winds &cUnstable boat guest. A little "How to raise full sail single handed." And shamelessly running Shanti aground.

Any sail can be made better with the addition of DOLPHINS! And this day was magical, beautiful calm blue Caribbean seas& gentle breeze blowing, escorted by dolphins pushing Shanti along the Mexican coastline.. and out of the blue comes a very large school of dolphins that played at the bow for over 10 minutes before swimming off to their next playground!

Theoretical knowledge can be gained from books, studying & other philosophies but practical knowledge is the golden goose, this type of knowledge is gained in the field, by doing, by trying & taking a leap of faith. This comes with the hefty risk of trying & failing. This has been a recurring lesson for me in life. Books and theories are weapons in my arsenal but the real fight is felt out there.
