Wah Yan College Kowloon Interact Club An official page for Interact Club of Wah Yan College, Kowloon.

扶輪社(Interact Club)為 國際扶輪社(Rotary International) 內一個專為青年而設的組織，由國際扶輪社贊助及提供基本指導，分會遍佈世界各地。而九龍華仁書院的Interact Club就隸屬Rotary Internaional District 3450 Hong Kong, Macao & Mongolia，由港京扶輪社 (Rotary Club of Kingspark Hong Kong)贊助。

扶輪社的英文名稱，可以分成四部份來解釋的：
「INTER」解釋為International Understanding，即對國際的認識。
「A」解釋為Aim of Service，即以服務為宗旨。
「C」解釋為Communication with others，即與他人溝通交流。
「T」解釋為Training of Leadership，即是領袖的訓練。

今個學年，為協助同學增進溝通技術和領導能力，接觸更多國際性事物，本會將舉辦一連串各類型的聯校活動，如義工活動、領袖訓練計劃、國際認識計劃、慈善才藝表演等，擴闊社交圈子，也可以增加義工時數。

Recruitment of the Interact Club 2015-16:

Dear Wahyanites,

Interact Club is now recruiting ex-co members for the year 2015-2016.
We will hold an interview, the details are as follows.
Date: 2nd November, Monday
Time: 4p.m. afterschool
Venue: Room126
Eligibility: F.3-F.5 students

-What is Interact?
Interact is a service club for youth ages 14-18. Clubs benefit from sponsorship by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance. Interact clubs are self-governing and self-supporting and can be either school or community based.
The name of Interact is a combination of the words international and action. With clubs in over 160 countries and geographical areas, Interact is truly an international phenomenon. Interact’s global youth network is dedicated to community and international service. Every Interact club project, great or small, has a lasting impact on society worldwide.
Interact has four aims, they are:
1.INTERnational understanding,
2.Aim at service,
3.Communication with others, and;
4.Training of leadership.

Want to widen your social network? Want to gain more experience in organizing events? This year, we are holding 2-3 joint-school services and a long-term service for Wahyanites. Wahyanites, it is time for you to stand up and serve Wah Yan, and our society. Please don't hesitate, unleash your talent and join us! We are looking forward to seeing you in the 2015-16 Interact Club.

Issues with the Social Service Scheme

We have received enquiries about the Social Service Scheme on how many hours of service can be counted. For participants of the Lunar Service Project and Easter Service Project, you may fill in the Social Service Scheme under the following format:

Lunar Service Project

Easter Service Project

Details are as follows:

Registration Time: 0845
Venue: La Salle College

If you are not sure how to get to La Salle College, you may take bus no. 2D, 10 or 208 and get off at Lanchashire Road station, or taking minibus no. 25M from Kowloon Tong MTR Exit D to La Salle College.

For ones who have not paid their fee, please bring along with $40 tomorrow.

Sorry for keeping you all waiting for so long!

Introducing Joint School Easter Service Project --- The Bunny's Keeper. Inspired by the book "The Sister's Keeper", children as lovable bunnies that bring us a ray of hope. We would like to keep and share the joy like the blissful bunnies to others. Through service programmes, participants will be able to cultivate a sense of social obligation in serving the community.

We will be having the project with St. Mary's Canossian College, St. Rose of Lima's College and La Salle College. Details are as follows:

Day 1: Orientation Day
Date: 23/3 (Saturday)
Venue: La Salle College

Day 2,3: Service Day
Service Period: 28/3-3/4 (any two days)
Service Target: Children aged 6-12

Fee: $40 (for non-members, an additional $5 is required for the membership fee)
Applicable students: F3-F5
Quota: 15

The closing ceremony of 'Imagine Believe Achieve - Joint School Lunar Service Project 2013' has successfully been held on 23rd February, 2013 at Wah Yan College, Kowloon. Running Man, stepping ballons and several other games had been played on this day of excitement. WYK Interact Club would like to thank you for your active participation into the event. It's been an interesting day for our participants joining our Joint School Lunar Service Programme! Our Orientation Day has successfully been held at Good Hope School yesterday with more than 70 participants. Photos of the day will be released soon. The service day will be on either 8/2 or 9/2. Participants please refer to the information from your group leaders. We would like to thank for your support and wish you all a happy Chinese New Year! :))
