Are you a keen runner who cares about the environment? Do you want to get into a good fitness routine but find a lot of running clubs are too intensive?

Green Runners combines the benefits of jogging with community building and environmental protection!

Our Green Runs (also known as Plogging) run throughout different areas of the city, giving everyone a chance to get involved.

Over the next 6 weeks, we will be hosting Plogging sessions across Tai Kok Tsui and Central, taking in the sights of the city whilst boosting mental and physical wellbeing and giving back to our city.

Our team was lucky to manage to get a few hours between all the heavy rain to run a trail cleanup along Kowloon Reservoir.

Our small group of dedicated volunteers managed to collect an impressive 33.6kg over the course of the hike, helping to remove trash from the reservoirs’ surroundings, creating not only a cleaner environment for hikers, but for the monkeys and other creatures that call the reservoir their home!

It’s crucial we do our part to protect reservoirs, too. Plastic pollution not only contaminates the water for waterborne animals, but also can affect drinking water sources and potentially clog drainage systems.
