What is a pedagogy of care? How can educators integrate care into teaching to nurture empathy, inclusivity, and connection in classrooms and beyond?

This theme features a dynamic lineup of researchers and educators from EdUHK, many of whom have actively contributed to CCC’s ‘Pedagogy of Care’ initiative. Drawing from diverse disciplines such as creative writing, language education, teacher training, and intercultural communication, these speakers will share their innovative practices and valuable insights gained from implementing care-based pedagogy within EdUHK and beyond, paving the way for a more compassionate and inclusive approach to education.

FHM Dean and IRCCS director John Erni delivered a speech on the representation of minorities in Hong Kong Media at the 17th Session of the UN Forum on Minority Issues held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland from November 28 to 29, 2024. He was among only 12 invited experts to address the Forum, which was attended by over 690 delegates, including country representatives, ministers, and NGO spokespersons from around the world.
