Senior High Team Wins Territory-Wide Putonghua Cultural Quiz
Our Tourism and Hospitality Studies Department and Putonghua Department are delighted to announce the outstanding achievements of our students in the recent Hong Kong Putonghua Quiz Competition [全港普通話問答比賽（中華薪傳·非遺常識篇）]. This territory-wide event was organised by the ICBC (Asia) Charitable Foundation, together with the Chinese Education and Cultural Exchange Foundation and the Hong Kong Language Studies Centre.
This year’s competition focused on Chinese intangible cultural heritage, using Putonghua as a medium to encourage students to explore traditional culture, language, and heritage. Through the competition, participants deepened their understanding of these cultural practices and their vital connection to heritage tourism.
After an excellent performance in the preliminary round alongside more than 2,700 participants territory-wide, our senior secondary team successfully advanced to the final. In the grand final, Tong (S5), Guo (S5), and Cheng (S5) demonstrated solid knowledge, quick thinking, and excellent teamwork. With their outstanding performance, they secured first place in the Senior Secondary Section, bringing great honour and pride to our school.
In addition, our school received the "Most Participating School Award" in the Senior Secondary Section, highlighting the enthusiastic support and active participation of our students. Their dedication and positive spirit fully reflected our vibrant school culture.
