活動回顧｜拜訪藝術家區大為🎨
2026年6月1日，ILC高級講師Yvonne Loong及中心同事到區大為老師府上拜訪。衷心感謝區老師與夫人盛情款待，讓我們得以在滿室書香畫韻之中，欣賞藝術，細味人生💖

老師健談，跟我們暢言多方，既談及自身習書作畫的因由，又説了許多篆刻的逸趣。山水畫中「心中有景」的創作境界，連石頭也有學問，太湖石、壽山石、雞血石的種種見聞，又有南來文人以欖核刻印隨身的故事。而能置身老師滿室書畫之間聆聽這番說話，就彷彿多了一重溫度與韻味✨

臨別前，ILC仝人更獲區老師饋贈珍貴作品集與印譜，真可說是滿載而歸，那份筆墨之外的情意，自屬珍貴無比。

ILC正計劃一連串探索藝術的活動，盼能陪伴中大師生拓闊視野、滋養心靈，在學習與生活之間，發現更深一層的美與感悟。

✨Activity Recap | Visiting Artist Ou Dawei 🎨
On 1 June 2026, our ILC Senior Lecturer Dr. Yvonne Loong and two ILC colleagues visited artist Ou Dawei at his home.

Our heartfelt thanks to Mr Ou and his wife for their warm hospitality 💖 Surrounded by his own calligraphy and paintings, we listened to stories of literati seals carved from seeds, his journey in calligraphy and painting, the joy of seal carving, and the artistic vision of “holding a landscape in one’s heart” ✨

Before leaving, we were also honoured to receive Mr Ou’s precious catalogue and seal album.

The ILC looks forward to hosting more art exploration activities ahead, inspiring CUHK students and staff to broaden their horizons and discover the hidden beauty in learning and life.

What an amazing day at 3MT® 2026! 🎤 On 19 May, 23 outstanding participants took the stage and shared their research in just 180 seconds with confidence, clarity, and passion ⚡

The competition was bursting with energy, talent, and inspiring ideas 💡 spanning a wide range of topics — from genuine concerns for humanity to the powerful impact research can have on the world 🌍🙌

As a proud co-organizer, ILC extends a heartfelt thank you to all participants for your hard work, courage, and passion — you made the event truly memorable 💜

✨ PG Symposium 2026 Leaves Us Wanting More! ✨

Two inspiring days at the Postgraduate Research & Learning Symposium 2026 have come to a close — and what a ride it's been for our participants coming from both the Shatin and Shenzhen campuses! 🎓🌟🌏

📖🤖 Twleve parallel sessions, thousands fresh perspectives — and AI took the centre stage!
This year brought a whole new wave of sessions — from real-world manuscript preparation journeys, to writing dissertation introductions, to writing systematic reviews for publications, to constructing compelling research papers, to writing in maths, medicine, science, and books, and to delivering impactful oral presentations. We also dived deep into the world of AI in research — covering smart literature search, ethical use, and resource discovery — and explored AI and Chinese academic writing (人工智能與中文學術寫作), sparking rich conversations about what this means for the next generation of scholars. 💬📝📚

🤝 The Connections That Made It Special
Beyond the sessions, the real magic happened in between — over coffee breaks ☕, networking lunch 🍽️, and lively Q&As. New ideas sparked, collaborations began to take shape, and friendships across disciplines and campuses were formed. 💡
