Welcome to the new MScBM class of 2017! An array of orientation activities was arranged on 30 August to mark the beginning of the learning journey. Dr. Raymond Chan, Director of the MBA & MScBM Programmes, welcomed the students and gave a quick overview of the programme. A team building workshop was organised in the afternoon for students to get familiar with their classmates and cultivate their team spirit. Students had a great time!

Season's Greetings from MBA & MScBM Office!

The new intake of the MBA Huadong class commenced on 10 December 2016 at the Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU). Prof. Allan Chan, Association Dean of Business cm MBA Programme Director and Prof. Yan Liangyu, Director of the Overseas Education College of SJTU officiated the event.

To increase the communication among the new students, a team building workshop was arranged in the afternoon. A series of interesting activities, including ice-breaking and exploration, was designed to help students getting familiar with the campus environment as well as deepening their understanding among classmates. A welcome dinner was hosted in the evening for students to mingle with the alumni and faculty members.

Two MScBM information sessions were arranged in Wuhan and Nanjing in late November. Recent MScBM graduate, Miss Zoe Zhou, was invited to share her study experience. After completion her undergraduate study in the Broadcasting & Television Composing and Directing, she joined the HKBU MScBM Programme to better equip herself in the business arena. During the information session, Zoe shared her riveting learning journey at HKBU, the smart tips about living in Hong Kong and preparation required for cross-disciplinary study.

The MBA (China) Alumni Association – Zhuhai Branch hosted its annual alumni gathering on 26 Nov 2016 at the Zhuhai Beishan Compound, where is a quaint historic building since the Qing Dynasty. The graduation class dressed in traditional Chinese clothing for the singing and dancing performance. The event attracted nearly 100 students, alumni, professors and guests.

Four MBA alumni joined the “Oxfam Trailwalker 2016” from 18 to 20 November 2016. It was the second time our MBA alumni joined the event and the teammates included Jiang Zhigang, He Wenlong, Shi Zhengjun and Hu Xiaoyun came from Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The team overcame all the daunting challenges together and completed the competition strongly. Besides the challengers, 30 alumni coming from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Shanghai formed the supporting team to provide all necessary logistics support, helping the team along the trail.
