[Extended Deadline: 6 March] Student Endowment Fund 2025/26]

The Faculty is pleased to announce that the Student Endowment Fund 2025/26 is now open for applications. The Fund aims to provide financial support to FASS students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievements and have financial needs for participation in overseas activities.

For more details, please refer to the application guidelines and application form.

Students who are interested in applying for the Fund, should submit the following documents to the Faculty Office by email ([email protected]) before the deadline 6 March 2026 (Extended):

A completed application form;
A copy of academic transcript of the Semester 1, AY2025/26 (unofficial student copy will be acceptable);
Confirmation of result on exchange, internship or placement;
Copies of valid supporting documents for the attained significant achievement in community service, research or extra-curricular activities;
A self-statement of no more than 400 words in English on your personal goals and financial needs
Recognized proof of financial needs (e.g. result of (a) the Government Grant & Loan 2025/2026, or (b) HKBU Financial Aid - Bursaries and Loans (Non-Government Funding) 2025/2026, or (c) other documents issued by official organizations).

Late applications will not be accepted.

📢The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at Hong Kong Baptist University is pleased to invite you to the 3rd International Symposium on Humanities and Culture: Strategies and Impact of a Digital Future, with day 1 of the symposium to be held at the HKJC Auditorium, Hong Kong Palace Museum on 18 March (Wednesday), 2026. This event will also be the key FASS event to mark the 70th anniversary of HKBU.

▪️Selected Candidates who successfully enrolled on the programme will be partly subsidized. The subsidy is subject to the number of applicants, the applicant's academic performance, self-statement and financial needs. To receive the subsidy, students are required to submit relevant documents, and participate in Faculty’s sharing session. Reimbursement will be made after you complete the programme & fulfill the requirements.

Student Experiential Learning Grant (SELG), AY2025/26 (3rd round)

To encourage students to enrich their intercultural learning experiences and develop global perspectives and competencies, the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences has set up the Student Experiential Learning Grant (SELG). This Grant will provide financial support for undergraduate students engaging in non-local experiential learning opportunities physically or virtually.

Arts and Social Sciences Undergraduate Scholarships AY2025-26

In recognition of the outstanding performance of our undergraduate students, the Faculty invites eligible students to apply one of the following merit-based scholarships:

1. Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship for Community Action 文學及社會科學院獎學金 (社會服務) worth HK$8,000 to award an undergraduate student of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences for the excellent portfolio of community service.

2. Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship for Global Exchange 文學及社會科學院獎學金 (國際交流) worth up to a maximum of HK$8,000 to award an outstanding undergraduate student of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences who participated in the Student Exchange Programme (not as a Major Programme requirement) for one semester to one year.

The Faculty will also select undergraduate students who have excellent academic performance during their study for the “Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship for Academic Excellence 文學及社會科學院獎學金 (學術優異)”. Students will receive an amount of HK$8,000 for the award. The Faculty will inform the awardees directly and no application will be required.
