Nestled between hills and the sea, this campus breathes tender romance by nature. Seabreeze drifting through hallways brings the calmest happiness I have ever felt. I, who crumbled on the first day, never expected intense withdrawal. My days at HKUST were half serene ease gifted by the sea, half warm sincerity from those beside me.
Farewell came all too soon. Before I could say goodbye, a bittersweet ache crept from my eyes to my nose, silently clogging my throat.

“ The HKUST Pre-university program has lit a path for me to deepen my interests and identify a suitable future career path. I was truly inspired by all the work we have done and motivated me to pursue my dreams of getting into HKUST.
Before joining this summer camp, I was confused about my university program choice, which is a life-deciding decision. Yet, diverse lectures delivered by different faculties broadened my academic horizons and assisted me to select an ideal path which suits me.
Additionally, various social activities such as group trips to Hong Kong Disneyland, BOCHK and the Peak were arranged for us to gain a real-world experience in HK. I was able to go sightseeing and learned new things with my friends outside the classroom. We even picked up practical physics knowledge while riding the Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland and applied it in our course work.
Moreover, I built valuable friendships with peers from all corners of the world while immersing myself in authentic university lessons. I sincerely treasure every moment we spent, and I am grateful and honored to have met everyone in this camp. ”

“Sooooo great experience here!!

I tried all the restaurants on the campus, and they were all delicious with a nice look. Professors here are all patient enough to answer questions. In my program, Dr. Jac prepared so much for us, and he also invited his students to give us experience, but there was only limited time for him to show us. I hope I can become a formal student of his in the near future. 🌟

While hanging out outside the school, I was afraid of chatting with foreigners in English (my second language) at the very beginning. But a Mexican girl turned to me and said in a happy voice, "You are the best Chinese I have met in speaking English!" I was encouraged a lot and became more active in the following journeys. 💬✨

The most exciting part was the gala dinner. The girl next to me was from London, and we talked happily about Harry Potter. We exchanged our mobile phone numbers, and she welcomed me to go to the UK one day.

I think there are too few words for me to write, but the memory will always remain in my mind. Forever. ❤️”

💡 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 | 從科大課堂走進滙豐銀行

當我們看到一個廣告正式推出、一場活動圓滿舉行，或一則訊息成功觸及成千上萬名客戶時，很少會想到背後其實經歷了無數次協調、討論與決策。

對香港科技大學工商管理學士課程（主修管理學及市場學）學生 Ida 而言，在 HSBC International Wealth & Premier Banking 團隊的六個月實習，正是一次深入了解市場推廣幕後運作的寶貴機會。

實習期間，她參與了多個市場推廣項目，包括支援 TVB 贊助推廣活動，以及協助籌辦 HSBC 保險 Wealth & Health Centre 的客戶活動，透過親身參與，她見證了解大型企業如何將創意概念一步步落實，最終轉化為真正接觸客戶的體驗。

令Ida最深刻的，莫過於每個項目背後緊密的跨部門合作。市場推廣從來不只是市場營銷團隊的工作，更需要與業務、合規、法律及品牌管理等不同部門緊密協作，在客戶體驗、商業目標及監管要求之間取得平衡。

這段實習經歷不僅提升了Ida的項目管理、溝通及協調能力，更讓她對市場營銷的策略思維有了更深入的理解。

回顧這段旅程，Ida 的建議非常簡單：主動爭取機會、大膽嘗試，並善用身邊的資源。很多改變未來的機遇，往往就在一次嘗試、一場對話之中悄然展開。✨

💡 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐊 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 | 一場意想不到的成長之旅

如果當初因為通勤太遠而放棄申請，Daisy 的這個暑假，可能會截然不同。

當她第一次在科大求職板（Job Board）看到 Mad Head Limited（Mad Head）的實習機會時，第一個念頭其實不是興奮，而是猶豫。畢竟，每天往返科學園的路程並不算近。

這個實習機會，差點就止步在「看看就好」。
幸好最後，她還是決定給自己一個機會，按下了「申請」。
沒想到，這個看似簡單的決定，會為她帶來了一個充滿知識、成長和驚喜的暑假。

作為 AI 及平面設計實習生，Daisy 參與了一款字典搜尋應用程式的開發，親身體驗如何將一個想法由概念一步步轉化成真正的產品，在過程中，她不但提升了 AI 及設計相關技能，更接觸到產品開發背後的思維與流程。

然而，最珍貴的收穫不只是技術上的進步，更令她珍惜的是成長過程的收穫。她逐漸建立起對自己想法的信心，學會與不同團隊合作，也發現自己對打造以使用者為中心產品的熱情。

回顧這段經歷，最令她難忘的是那些看似平凡卻真實的時刻：與同事一起午餐、互相支持和鼓勵的工作氛圍，以及從第一天起便感受到的歸屬感。

🌱 有時候，成長並不是來自一個驚天動地的決定。
而是來自那個本來想放棄，最後卻選擇勇敢踏出第一步的自己。
