Meet Leo Lau, a 2025 graduate of the BBA in Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation at HKBU School of Business and founder of Audacity. 💙

What started as an entrepreneurial idea during his time at the School has grown into a Hong Kong sportswear venture built around sustainability and community impact. 🌱

Today, that journey has come full circle, with Audacity producing HKBU School of Business’s polo shirt, made with Sorona®, a fiber partially made from renewable plant starch that reduces reliance on petroleum-based materials. 👕

On 8 August 2026, HKBU School of Business joined the 8th Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Youth Forum, hosted by the Institute of Accountants Exchange (IAE). 🎉

👏 Ms Liana Ho, President of the Society of Accountancy AY2026–27 and Year‑2 BBA Accountancy student, received a commemorative plaque at the launch of the Youth Development Partnership Programme, recognising her role in youth development.

🤝 Partnering with peers from local universities, Ms Ho will foster collaboration and raise awareness of the evolving accounting and finance landscape in the Greater Bay Area.

Dr Man Ko, Senior Lecturer and Associate Head (Teaching), Department of Accountancy, Economics and Finance, HKBU School of Business, has been appointed by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) as a mentor in the inaugural Qualification Programme (QP) Student Mentorship Programme 2026‑27. 🌟

The programme pairs nearly 80 mentors with QP students for a 12‑month journey of learning and professional growth. At the launch ceremony on 17 July 2026, Dr Ko shared insights from his extensive teaching and coaching experience, inspiring future accounting professionals. ✨

His appointment highlights the School’s dedication to nurturing skilled graduates, strengthening ties with professional communities, and contributing to the sustainability of the accounting profession. 📈🌍

As part of its 70th Anniversary celebrations, HKBU School of Business partnered with the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) to host the Joint Summer Workshop on Information Systems 2026 on 13 and 14 July 2026.

More than 80 academics and research postgraduate students from HKBU, SUSTech, and Beijing Normal University–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) gathered on the HKBU campus to explore the theme “Future Forward: AI Driven Business Research”.

The two‑day programme featured 24 presentations, interactive discussions, and insightful mentorship from eight distinguished scholars who are senior editors or associate editors from top-tier academic journals, fostering collaboration and reinforcing the School’s commitment to research excellence and regional partnerships. 🚀

HKBU School of Business supported the Youth to Sustainability Summit 2026 (YS26), organised by AIESEC and hosted on our campus from 22 to 28 June! 🌱

🏙️ Themed around SDG11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, over 120 secondary school and university students came together to explore Hong Kong's sustainability challenges through field trips, a human library, and a public showcase — with insights from 33 speakers across corporates, NGOs, and startups.

💡 Covering themes of Arts and Culture, Green Technology, and Waste Management, the Summit sparked meaningful conversations and inspired the next generation of changemakers.

From 14 to 16 July, 50 students from 28 local secondary schools joined the HKBU BBA Summer Day Camp 2026 – exploring sustainable tourism through fieldwork, design thinking, and 3D printing! 🌏

🌿 Day 1: Tai O Adventures
The camp began with a lecture by Mr Ryan Man, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Studies) and BBA Programme Director, setting the stage for thoughtful exploration.
Students then visited: 📍 Tai O Heritage Hotel ➡️ fishing village ➡️ stilt houses ➡️ handmade salted egg workshop

💡 Day 2: Game Ideas Come to Life!
At the HKBU Library CollabTech Commons, students applied design thinking to create responsible travel games. Guided by Mr Vince Siu, Founder & CEO of Press Start Academy, they used digital tools and 3D printing to bring ideas to life.

🏆 Day 3: Pitch, Play & Celebrate!
Teams presented their projects to a panel of judges, followed by a Game Jam Arcade where everyone voted for their favourite games. 🌟
The camp concluded with a high table dinner and award presentation ceremony.
