Jenny shared valuable insights on💡 problem-solving skills for career planning, including how to approach career questions using a structured problem-solving toolkit, effective job search strategies, and what consulting work is like in practice. She also introduced a range of exciting career paths for students who enjoy tackling complex challenges.

Her talk emphasized that successful career planning starts with understanding their strengths and aligning them with their interests💼.

On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐇𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 hosted a 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 at 𝐓𝐨𝐩 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐩𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 , 𝐊𝐚𝐢 𝐓𝐚𝐤. 🎳

We had an incredible afternoon stepping off campus as mentors and mentees came together to connect, network, hit the lanes, and knock down some pins☀️. From everyone catching the bowling bug to the lively banter and friendly competition, the energy was absolutely unmatched!

Beyond the game, it was wonderful to see everyone sharing laughs and strengthening the bonds within our 💙 𝐈𝐄𝐃𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

IEDA students visited the 𝐌𝐓𝐑 𝐓𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐘𝐢 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 (𝐎𝐂𝐂) on 𝟏𝟔 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔🚆✨. During the visit, Ms Jennifer Lui from the MTR team provided guided support and demonstrated how the OCC keeps Hong Kong’s railway system running smoothly behind the scenes. From real-time traffic coordination and incident response to passenger communication, students gained valuable insights into the complexity and precision of railway operations🎯.

【🎊Congratulations to the HKUST IEDA graduates for winning the HKIE LTD Best Student Papers Award 2025-26👏!】

We are proud to celebrate WONG Pak Hei, KO Tsz Him, and PANG Wan Tsz, IEDA graduates of the Class of 2025, for receiving The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Logistics and Transportation Division (HKIE LTD) Best Student Papers Award 2025-26 – Distinction Award🌟. The award-winning project, titled “Automated ESG Estimation Methods for KLN’s Fleets,” was supervised by Prof. Richard SO.

Under the theme💡 “Innovation in Transport or Logistics,” the award aims to promote innovative ideas and research in the design and implementation of sustainable logistics and transportation systems while encouraging students to pursue careers in the engineering profession.

The winning team was invited to give a five-minute presentation at the HKIE LTD Annual Dinner 2026 on 20 April 2026 and attended the Award Presentation Ceremony during the HKIE LTD Annual General Meeting on 5 May 2026.
