Literacy is so important and can change a person and his/her family's life! An understatement, I know. But ALL children should be encouraged to read and develop the habit of daily reading, especially when learning English (or other languages).

Having taught at a school with special needs children, I'm sad to say this happens a lot in Hong Kong and there's not enough people standing up for these kids. If you ever see this happen, I hope we can all be able to differentiate the difference between misbehaviour and autism and defend/treat special needs children and their parents with respect.
