日前，5A楊靖瑤同學經過一連串嚴格遴選，終憑藉出色表現脫穎而出，連續第二年代表香港女童軍總會，參與三月舉行的「金紫荊廣場五四升旗禮」旗手選拔。在眾多優秀候選人中，楊靖瑤同學以穩健的儀態、堅毅的意志及對制服團隊精神的深刻體現，最終獲優選為「紀念紅軍長征勝利90周年 金紫荊廣場五四升旗禮2026」護旗方隊成員，成為十六個制服團隊代表之一，並榮獲「金紫荊廣場五四升旗禮銀章」。
此銀章至今僅授予十六人，楊靖瑤同學更為香港女童軍總會歷來唯一獲此殊榮者，意義非凡。這項榮譽不僅展現了莫慶堯中學學生的頂尖素質，更全面肯定了本校在培養學生領導才能、愛國情懷及團隊精神上的卓越教育質素。

With outstanding personal qualities and unwavering perseverance, Yeung Ching Yiu has stood out in a highly rigorous selection process, achieving remarkable success and bringing immense pride to our school! 🎊✨
Recently, Yeung Ching Yiu Yoyo from Class 5A successfully passed a series of rigorous selections. For the second consecutive year, she represented the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association in the selection for flag-bearers at the "May 4th Flag-Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square " held in March. Competing against numerous outstanding candidates, Ching Yiu demonstrated a dignified poise, steadfast determination, and a deep embodiment of the uniform group spirit. Ultimately, she was selected as a member of the flag guard es**rt team for the "May 4th Flag-raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square 2026 to Commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Victory of the Red Army's Long March ." Standing out as one of the representatives among sixteen uniform groups, she was also awarded the "May 4th Flag-Raising Ceremony at Golden Bauhinia Square Silver Badge."
To date, this Silver Badge has only been awarded to sixteen individuals, and Ching Yiu makes history as the first-ever member of the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association to receive this honor, making this achievement truly extraordinary. This accolade not only showcases the top-tier caliber of Mok Hing Yiu College students, but also fully validates our school’s excellence in fostering leadership, patriotism, and team spirit.

【Green Campus: A New Organic Farming Experience】 🌿👨‍🌾 Our campus has transformed into a lively little farm! ✨ This year, our school launched the "Organic Campus Farm Activity," where students became little farmers in our workshop, getting hands-on experience planting okra, water spinach, strawberries, and coriander! 🍓🥬 From turning the soil and sowing seeds to fertilizing, irrigating, and harvesting, students applied their textbook knowledge of organic farming (such as natural pest control and soil enrichment) in real life. They truly experienced the meaning of "you reap what you sow", to cultivate students’ resilience.! 💪 Through this activity, students learned to appreciate the hard work of farming and the importance of cherishing food. Recently, our Visual Arts teachers led a group of students to visit Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School (BLMCSS) for an enriching and inspiring artistic exchange program.
During the visit, our students spent time admiring the remarkable student visual arts exhibition. Each piece, filled with rich imagination and creative landscapes, left a deep impression and offered great inspiration to our young artists. Furthermore, students thoroughly enjoyed the interactive "Create Your Own Landscape" stamping zone. 【Life Education | Reading Promotion Team X Visual Arts Department】📖🎨 Are you in a smooth season of life, or facing challenges? When life feels discouraging, we can still choose to be brave and start again. ✨
This week, our school was delighted to welcome Mr. Bigsoil, author of The White Bear and the Boy, for a sharing session titled “Discouraging Life • I Can Still Start Again.” Through his heartfelt story, Mr. Bigsoil encouraged students to love themselves ❤️ and reminded them that everyone is unique, and in this vast world, someone will always understand you. During the session, students stepped out of their comfort zones and challenged themselves to tear paper into the Chinese characters “大” and “我”. They learned that with courage and the willingness to take the first step, the impossible can become possible! 💪 More than 150 students joined the talk after school, meeting the author up close, learning actively, and growing their interest in reading. 📚 Our Visual Arts teachers also guided students in designing new covers for The White Bear and the Boy, allowing them to show their creativity and deepen their understanding of picture book creation. 🎨
