Heartwarming, inspiring, and full of youth innovation! 💡✨ On May 20th, we joined Concordia Lutheran School (路德會協同中學) for their S4 Design Thinking Day (想·創·日) as guest judges.

It was amazing to see students tackle real-world issues, including ideas to raise awareness for ethnic minorities in HK (especially loved seeing the students we previously hosted at Dream Impact!).

From tactile sensory ideas like Codekey Cookies to social inclusion platforms, a few concepts incredibly stood out:
🎪 District-wide South Asian Bazaar & Talent Show pop-ups
⌚ A health-tracking watch concept for migrant workers
🌐 A community connect platform linking neighborhoods together

Shoutout to Group 24 for winning with their practical 3D-printed roller ring that gauges pastry thickness and doubles as a cookie cutter! 🥮👏

An incredible initiative letting youth solve real societal issues. Cheers to "learning by doing" and hoping for many more collaborations ahead! 🙌

The Power of Living Books 📖✨

On April 15th, ILM participated in a meaningful Human Library event at Dream Impact! 🤝 Our representatives joined as "human books," sharing personal journeys and stories with around 132 Form 4 students and teachers from Concordia Lutheran School.

It was an afternoon of vibrant dialogue and cultural exchange conducted in Cantonese, fostering deeper understanding and connection within the community. Seeing the students engage so curiously with different life stories was truly inspiring! 🌍🌟

What an incredible two days at PolyU! 🌟 We teamed up with AIESEC in HK PolyU for the "Our World, Our Move" event to show how cultural exchange and sustainability go hand-in-hand. 🌏✨

From multicultural snacks to traditional dress-ups, we loved the energy! The highlight? The massive queue for our Mehndi (Henna) station. 🌿✍️

Fun fact: Mehndi is the Hindi/Urdu term for henna, a natural paste made from Lawsonia inermis leaves. It’s a beautiful way to create temporary skin decoration that fades naturally over time—the perfect "commitment-free" art!
