Chinese International School is committed to the achievement of academic excellence and is characterized and enriched by its dual-language program in Chinese and English. The mission of Chinese International School is to inspire students to a lifelong love of learning. The school encourages intellectual curiosity and independent, critical and creative thinking which will maximize students’ potential and promote the growth of the whole person. The school prepares its students to be compassionate, ethical and responsible individuals, contributing to local and global communities, respectful of other views, beliefs and cultures, and concerned to make a difference in the world.

We are thrilled to invite you and your entire family to the CIS Alumni Family Fun Day!

This is the ultimate chance to bring your kids so they can step into your shoes and explore your alma mater. It’s also the perfect moment for your parents to return to campus after so many years away, relive those fond school memories, and see how much CIS has grown. What an incredible afternoon back at Goldman Sachs!

Our young alumni were given an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the world of finance, led by our very own Natasha Chak '14 and Nicholas Pas '14. From a candid breakdown of different banking divisions to real-world resume critiques and expert strategies for networking and acing interviews, our speakers offered invaluable guidance to help our alums sharpen their edge in the industry.

A massive thank you to Nicholas and Natasha for hosting, and a special shoutout to fellow alumni Martin Ma '99, Dallas McAfee '98, and Aiden Tandiono '22 for joining the session and sharing their unique perspectives. Join us in extending a resounding and heartfelt welcome to the Class of 2026—our newest CIS alumni!

This year, our graduates and guests had the distinct privilege of hearing from Dr. Gary Lau '02, our esteemed Graduation speaker. He delivered a powerful message, challenging the graduates to ground themselves in their core human values and to proudly carry forward the collaborative spirit of CIS as they embark on their next adventures.

We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to Aadi Avlani, Ava Tandiono, and Emma Yip, who have stepped up as the Class Ambassadors for this graduating cohort. They will play a vital role in serving as the lifelong bridge between their classmates and the school, keeping the spirit of the Class of '26 strong.

Stephanie Tsui '05 joined the Alumni Advisory Board earlier this school year as the new head of the Events Committee. She is no stranger to bringing our community together—she’s organised a fantastic lineup of events over the years, including a Halloween Murder Mystery, an IWD-themed trivia night, a Singles Night, Easter Egg Hunt, and countless other gatherings.

Last weekend, our volunteers comprising CIS alumni, parents and students once again teamed up with the Hong Kong New Arrivals Services Foundation (HKNASF) to visit underprivileged families in Sham Shui Po. It was a busy, heart-filling morning of distributing essential food and household supplies, connecting with families and hearing their stories.

Our thanks to Andrew Mak '07 and Robin Hwang '00 of the Community Service Committee of the CIS Alumni Advisory Board for organising this event, and to everyone who brought their energy (and their kids!) to help out!
