Throughout his distinguished career, he commanded operations in Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, and East Timor, and played a significant role in shaping UK and allied military strategy. Lord Richards is a senior member of Britain's Parliamentary security board, and is widely recognized as a leading authority on global security, strategy and geopolitics.
