We are excited to bring to you the West Island Internship Scheme
WIIS, West Island Internship Scheme, aims to provide optional opportunities for Year 11, 12 and 13 students. It aspired to give upper school students some exposure or a “test drive” in a chosen field for deepening professional and workplace understanding. Aligning with our school aims, students will need to take ownership of their own learning as they would for a normal job listing.
Our first step is to build our database of opportunities and we are asking West Island community to identify connections and organisations that could offer opportunities to students that may be for a day, a week or longer. Information will be stored in a central accessible website which is regularly updated with internship openings.
If you own a business or know of companies or individuals who would be interested in this programme please see the link attached.
West Island students are budding artists, engineers, mathematicians, medica, caterers, neuroscientists, logistic experts, financiers, lawyers, geographers, dancers and much more - so we are looking to cover a vast number of opportunities to cater to all student interests.
We look forward to building connections and relationships with our West Island community to support what we hope will be a long and fruitful programme for our students now and in the years to come.

WELCOME BACK WEST ISLAND!
We are excited to bring to the first ESF Alumni News of 2021 which has been refreshed and relaunched.
The February 2021 edition features WIS Alumni Neelam Harjani and other great newspieces.
Enjoy!
Excited to share the relaunched issue of our Alumni News!
Meet some of our former students who have launched Colour Away Covid, an initiative to help others during Covid-19, as well as global golf star Chloe Chan who has defied the odds to raise money for Direct Relief - purely via social media, and Jamie Chan who has begun her environmental advocacy journey between Hong Kong and Yale.
Other alumni also share tips on adapting their businesses to make last year one of their most successful - from the arts (Martin Lever, artist and designer) and wellbeing (Neelam Harjani, founder of Inspire Yoga) to tech (Martin Liu, former Business Development Manager of Shootsta).
Happy reading! https://esf.edu.hk/wp-content/ESF_Alumni_news/mobile/index.html
