The intention: Once you are registered the website will allow you to set any special criteria you may have, input your available teaching times, set the lowest hourly rate you will accept and then sit back and wait for us to connect you with students that meet or exceed your criteria.
How we work:
Advertising/Marketing success is a numbers game that a single teacher finds difficult to do due to costs and understanding the market and culture of the city you are now calling home, so by working through www.travellingteacher.net and contributing a tiny percentage of each transaction that goes through the website it creates a much larger marketing budget which in turn benefits all the teachers that work through us. (We know because we are travelling teachers too!)
So, it’s like working for a well-known reputable business with a healthy marketing budget and clear enforceable terms and conditions for customers to adhere to (things like a fair lesson cancellation policy and guaranteed pay for the work you have done) yet you are still your own boss setting your own working hours and getting a single monthly 'salary' payment into your bank account made up of all the work you've done.
