Our Story
DiverCity was first published as a student magazine in the name of Diversity at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) in 2013 by a student editorial team supported by the Global Engagement Office (GEO). To give the magazine a refreshed image attracting more students’ attention, a university-wide naming competition was held from October to November 2016 where DiverCity was selected as the new name among more than 130 entries submitted by local and non-local students at CityU.
Supported by GEO to arouse students’ multi-cultural awareness and enhance integration of students from diversified cultures and backgrounds, DiverCity showcases the diversity and vitality of CityU student community and helps students explore the many facets of CityU, Hong Kong and the world at large.
