🎉 HKSSA Annual General Meeting 2025-2026 🎉
The Hong Kong Student Services Association (HKSSA) was pleased to announce the successful convening of its Annual General Meeting 2025-26 on 24 March 2026 (Tuesday), conducted in hybrid mode with both an online meeting and a face-to-face session hosted at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
During the meeting, the Chairperson, Dr Cheung Puisze, presented a comprehensive overview of HKSSA’s annual activities and key accomplishments, reflecting the collective dedication and collaborative spirit of members across the sector.
The AGM also featured insightful sharing sessions by three professional Working Groups, each outlining their annual programmes and training initiatives that continue to enhance professional practice and capacity building in student services:
Working Group on Career Services (WGCS)
Hong Kong Tertiary Institutions Psychological Counselling Working Group (HKTIPCWG)
Hong Kong Tertiary Institutions Health Care Working Group (HKTIHCWG)
The meeting concluded on a highly positive note, marking another year of fruitful dialogue, professional enrichment, and meaningful collaboration within HKSSA.
Warmest congratulations were extended to the newly elected Cabinet, and future collaboration amongst student affairs professionals in participated in advancing the Association’s mission and the continued development of student services in Hong Kong.

🏆 The 34th Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students’ Services Award Ceremony 🏆
The Hong Kong Student Services Association (HKSSA) was delighted to witness the successful completion of The 34th Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students’ Services Award Ceremony, organised by the Hong Kong Outstanding Tertiary Students’ Services Association (HKOTSSA) and held on 20 March 2026 (Friday) at the Regal Hongkong Hotel, Causeway Bay.
This year’s Award attracted 150 applications from across the local tertiary sector. Following a rigorous selection process, 20 outstanding awardees from various local tertiary institutions were recognised for their professionalism, dedication, and significant contributions to student services within the community.
The ceremony was well attended by distinguished guests including government officials, a Legislative Councillor and student affairs professionals from the higher education sectors. Notable guests included:

- Mr. YE Shui-qiu Deputy Director-General of the Department of Educational, Scientific and Technological Affairs, LOCPG

HKSSA was pleased to continue its support of OTSSA by serving as one of the selection judges in June 2025 and participating as an officiating guest at the award presentation ceremony.

Hong Kong Student Services Association and Macau Student Affairs Association Exchange in Hong Kong Local Universities
A total of 53 participants from the Hong Kong Student Services Association and the Macau Student Affairs Association joined the one-day Visit to Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and Hong Kong Baptist University.(HKBU) on 4 February 2026, with the theme focusing on Innovation in Student Engagement: Leveraging Campus Resources and Technology in the Post Pandemic.
The event featured experience sharing on student engagement practices, group discussions, and guided campus tours, culminating in a roundup and group sharing session. The programme provided a robust and collegial platform for in-depth professional dialogue and knowledge exchange, thereby establishing a strong and constructive foundation for sustained cross regional collaboration and continued engagement among Student Affairs professionals from both regions.

The Hong Kong Student Services Association (HKSSA), through its Tertiary Institutions Psychological Counselling Working Group, successfully organised a professional sharing session entitled “Understanding Psychotropic Medications" on 5 December 2025 (Friday) at City University of Hong Kong.
This training aimed to:
- Enhance understanding of the classification of psychotropic medications.
- Introduce common medications and their potential side effects.
We are delighted to share that the event attracted nearly 40 Student Affairs practitioners, including counsellors, Student Affairs Office colleagues, and colleagues supporting students with special educational needs.
The session was led by Dr. Chiu Siu Ning, Psychiatrist, whose practical, professional and insightful delivery provided participants with valuable knowledge directly applicable to their daily work in supporting students.
HKSSA extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their active engagement and commitment to professional development. The presence and contributions of the participants made the session a meaningful success.
We warmly encourage colleagues to continue joining upcoming HKSSA events, where we strive to provide high-quality training and collaborative opportunities to strengthen student services in Hong Kong's higher education sector.

HKSSA held a workshop on Job Search Support for Students with ADHD and ASD on 24 October 2025 attracted 43 participants, and we’re pleased to share that participants found it very informative and fruitful!
The session covered:
- Understanding the unique challenges faced by individuals with ADHD and ASD
- Effective job search strategies tailored for neurodiverse students
- Resources and tools to aid in the job search process
