The School has been serving the Hong Kong community since the 1990s with the goal of offering quality education in food and nutritional sciences to those with a personal or professional interest in the field. Our flagship programme, the Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics, is the only local programme that satisfies the requirement for accredited dietitians. Graduates are qualified for employment as dietitians by the Hong Kong Department of Health and the Hospital Authority, in addition to being eligible for registration with the UK’s Health Professions Council (HPC). Interested graduates can also proceed to the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Food and Nutrition in order to become a nutritionist. Our students include in-service health care and food industry workers, as well as other professionals and members of the general public who wish to equip themselves with a quality education in food and nutrition. Our courses provide a valuable articulation network for students who wish to study part-time, from short courses, certificates, and diplomas to degree and master levels. Students can choose programmes based on their previous academic background and personal interests. Our teachers are experts in the field and the main language of the instruction is English, to ensure that our graduates are competitive academically and professionally both in Hong Kong and overseas.
