🌟 Meet Harper! A Fudan University graduate who has embraced the world of tech!

After spearheading digital transformation projects at the Shanghai Futures Exchange, Harper decided to pursue a Master’s degree at CityUHK to bridge the gap between business and cutting-edge technology.

🎯 The biggest challenge? Transitioning from humanities to coding! With the incredible support of professors and classmates, Harper approached coding step by step, transforming uncertainty into confidence. The "AI for Business Application" course reshaped Harper's perspective—not just focusing on AI, but on making technology accessible and meaningful for all.

🐾 One of Harper's proudest achievements is developing PawTalk, an NLP-powered pet health monitor that skillfully combines language studies with the tech skills gained at CityUHK. This innovative project blossomed in the Tech Entrepreneurship course, illustrating how digital transformation can lead to groundbreaking solutions at the intersection of disciplines.

🚀 At CityUHK’s Master’s programmes, Harper discovered that with the right mindset and world-class resources, it’s possible to completely reinvent one’s skill set and career. 🌟 Meet Eleanor Wang, a dedicated student currently pursuing a Master of Professional Accounting and Corporate Governance at CityUHK, specialising in professional accounting. 📚✨

Eleanor challenges the common stereotype that accounting is dull and repetitive. Through her studies, she has discovered how accounting principles apply to real-world business scenarios, often in creative ways. 💡🌍

In one of her group projects for the Cost Management Accounting course, she and her team created an analytical video demonstrating how these principles can solve business problems. 🎥 This collaboration helped her realise that being an accounting student involves much more than just crunching numbers; it also requires strategic thinking, digital skills, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities. 🤝🔍

This broader perspective has opened new career paths for Eleanor, including corporate strategy, budgeting, and forecasting, extending beyond traditional auditing or accounting roles. 💼 CityUHK also provides valuable workshops on networking skills and email writing, enhancing her personal growth and job search. 📈✉️

With speakers Emily NG, Matthew YOUNG, and Patricia HUI from corporate, sports, and NGO sectors, students gained a real-world understanding of governance as a strategic, ethical, and cross-sector force, especially in the context of ESG. 🌍
