2021-2022 Year 2 Final Year Project - ‘Hong Kong Vintage Toys’ (cooperated with Hong Kong Vintage Toys Association)
The pop-up store is called “Back to Old Hong Kong”, collaborated with Hong Kong Vintage Toys Association. It was held on March 26-27 in T.O.P, Mong Kok. The pop-up store consisted product displaying, product selling, and an online quiz about vintage toys.
“Maybe you will ask, “Why did you organize the pop-up store about Hong Kong’s vintage toys?”
Here is the answer: In the digital era, many people have digital gadgets, for example, smartphones, tablets
and computers. It has become a necessity in daily life. With the multi-functionality and
the convenience of digital gadgets, they have become a major entertainment method for people.
Numerous people are becoming more addicted to digital games, and many physical toys such as card games or board games are ignored by the young generation nowadays. Furthermore, vintage toys are part of our
Hong Kong culture and have been prevalent in the mid-late 20th century. Sadly, most of them are going to disappear. As a result, we hope to preserve and promote these local treasures in Hong Kong.”
