Here's an excerpt from an insightful article called "The Power Of One-To-One Tutoring":

"Mentoring is key. One of the most underrated facets of tutoring is the mentoring aspect. Students can largely benefit from having a positive role model to look up to, and when a student is motivated by their tutor, the learning process becomes even more fun and engaging. This sort of unique rapport is only possible with one-to-one methods."

Private language tuition is becoming increasingly popular, particularly in Hong Kong where time is short and competition is stiff. As a result, parents place a lot of value on efficient learning and are moving towards private 1-on-1 tutoring to get the most out of their children's time.
As a private tutor, I work closely with parents to understand exactly where their children stand in order to create a clear and realistic road map to reaching their goals. This has everything to do with communication and it's the tutor's job to make sure the dialogue between the teacher, parents and students is open and effective. Doing this helps families maximize the value of private tuition no matter what their objectives are.
Why private tutoring for your child is time well invested With a range of services such as The Telegraph's own online Tutoring platform available to parents, deciding whether to pay for a private tutor is a decision many parents are making.

Poetry recitations are not easy. Understanding a poem and effectively delivering its story, message, and mood to a room full of people can take months of preparation. It's my job to start that process by making sure that students are able to step completely inside their poems in order to fully interpret everything that is being conveyed by the authors. Only then will anything else (including the many hours of practice) begin to matter.
