「一帶一路」沿線國家哈薩克斯坦是中亞地區最大的經濟體，教育大學通識教育榮譽文學士畢業生在機緣巧合下，參與當地名為「光明大道」的發展計畫，去年九月到當地一所大學教授英文四個月。他以生動的教學方式，讓學生得以克服英語口試時緊張口吃的心理關卡，成績進步；又舉辦活動，鼓勵學生與外國人交流，令他深受學生歡迎。他冀未來能加入跨國機構，促進各地的文化、經濟交流。

社會科學系於2019年6月25日至6月28日舉行「社會科學周」，為響應今年香港教育大學25週年「創·變」理念，本系提供多個相關大學課程選課，課題不但緊貼社會議題，同時切合多個高中科目學習領域，例如：通識教育、地理、中國歷史、經濟和企業、會計與財務概論等。詳情請參閱活動海報:

EdUHK Scholarship for Academic Excellence (Doctoral Programme)

Eligibility: current student or a graduate of EdUHK (or HKIEd), under the age of 30 years old; Hong Kong permanent residents; and
being admitted to the intended programme of study, or currently pursuing doctoral studies overseas

Scholarship: A fixed amount of HK$200,000 during the whole period of study.

Deadline: 12:00 noon (HK time), 28 June 2019.

【EASE Fund up to HK$120,000 for students and alumni to apply!】

EdUHK has announced the establishment of the EdUHK Education and Social Entrepreneurs Fund Scheme (EASE Fund), which provides seed grants to EdUHK students and alumni to set up companies, social enterprises or NGOs to pursue education and social innovation ventures.

The EASE Fund is EdUHK’s first start-up fund and was established by the University’s Knowledge Transfer Sub-office of the Research and Development Office. All EdUHK students and alumni are welcome to apply in teams for cross-disciplinary collaboration. Each winning team will be awarded a seed fund up to HK$120,000. Applications are now open.

簡介：通識科令學生更「壞」？近年有批評指通識科的課程內容、設計等單方面「灌輸」、「誘導」學生至某種立場，甚至是鼓勵他們「走上街」。究竟通識科是否「教壞」學生？此節研討會引用大型調查數據，探討通識科課程對學生的影響，以一同思考。
