đHow does the CUHK MSc in Management (MiM) programme prepare future business leaders for a global business environment?
As part of this yearâs MiM Capstone Project, students partnered with Sunwah Group in Vietnam, taking on the role of consultants to address real business challenges in a cross-border business context. đź
Preparation began in Hong Kong with an exclusive case launch session by Mr. Jesse Choi, Regional Director, Southeast Asia, Sunwah Group (Vietnam Headquarters), followed by consultancy workshops that strengthened studentsâ presentation, problemâsolving, and professional communication skills. đđ¤
Students then embarked on a 10-day immersion in Vietnam, commencing the on-site itinerary with an exclusive cruise welcome dinner alongside Sunwah Groupâs senior executives, marking the official launch of the intensive programme.
A key highlight was presenting strategic recommendations directly to Sunwah Groupâs senior leadership team. Working across five key business functions, students delivered actionable solutions that demonstrated their ability to translate management knowledge into real business impact. đđŻ
Beyond the high-stakes executive presentation, the MiM programme curated a series of on-site industrial visits and cultural excursions to deepen studentsâ understanding of Vietnamâs market landscape. Students explored diverse industries through visits to organisations including VSIP Vietnam, Yakult Vietnam Co. Ltd., Tân Nháşt Furniture Company, You Tea, and GFT Vietnam Company Limited. They also visited iconic local landmarks to build holistic cultural awareness of Vietnamâs commercial ecosystem. These experiences provided valuable insights into Southeast Asiaâs dynamic business landscape.
More than a study trip, the MiM Capstone Project is a global consulting experience that challenges students to think strategically, work across cultures, and create solutions for real organisations. đ
