The 2nd time we hold a grand event in HKCEC, we really want to make it much more memorable to all of you! Get your ticket while there are still seats available.

St. John’s College and St. John’s College Alumni Association are organizing a Grand Reunion Dinner to celebrate the 111th Anniversary of the College. This event called “One & Only One” will be held on the 18th of November 2023 at the Grand Hall of HKCEC.

The Grand Reunion Dinner is a great occasion for alumni to get together, network, and celebrate the past successes of the College, as well as look into the future. It is also an opportunity to support St. John’s Foundation, a fund that helps students’ activities, special projects, overseas trips, and Eco St. John’s initiative.

We are expecting over 1000 alumni and friends to join us on this occasion. Tickets are now available, and you can either form a table of 10 or 12 persons. As we are arranging long table settings, just like the High Table setting at St. John’s, you can also come as an individual or two and join your other alumni. The organizing committee will arrange perfect seating for you if you come alone, so do not let that be a hurdle to not showing up.

Singing together from “Legend of Aquila” to “One & Only One”

One & Only One – New Ticketing Arrangement

Dear St. Johnians,
Greetings from SJCAA! As you know, we have already started selling the tickets for our 111th Anniversary Reunion Dinner at HKCEC (18th November 2023) – the One & Only One.

We cordially invite all our alumni to attend the event, which promises to be a grand, unique, stylish, and glamorous occasion. We want everyone to feel special and significant for being there, and we have gone to great lengths to ensure that the decoration and the ambiance of the venue will be impressive enough to leave you awestruck. For example, we will be using a super large LED wall to cover the entire stage of the Grand Hall of HKCEC to show your videos and photographs, beautiful and memorable videos of St. John's College, our sports, and cultural activities.

Ticket price for the reunion gathering is HKD1700 per head. We understand that this might seem like a steep price, but bear in mind that just the food and the venue costs in the Grand Hall of HKCEC per head is already a lot more than one thousand dollars. Furthermore, we need to budget a sizable lump sum for decoration, table prizes and unique souvenirs for everyone in this special occasion. As we want to ensure that the event meets our high standards of elegance, we are afraid that we cannot offer any further reduction in price.

For those who have made booking already, please remember to settle your payment before 1st April to secure your table booking. And to address the concerns of many alumni, we have made the following changes in the ticketing arrangements: -

1. Table price for 10 persons and 12 persons will remain HKD17,000 and HKD20,400 respectively from now on, but payment will need to be made within 10 days after payment notification upon your booking.
2. We understand that some of you may like to come in smaller groups, so table of 6 (just HKD10,200) is also welcome now.

One & Only One – 111th Anniversary Reunion Dinner for St. John’s College

Dear St. Johnians,

How are you? We are very pleased to inform you that after more than 10 years, SJCAA is going to organize another Grand Reunion for St. Johnians at the HKCEC again! The event, titled “One & Only One”, will be held at the HKCEC in the evening of 18th November 2023, Saturday, to celebrate the 111th Anniversary of St. John’s College. It will be a glamorous black-tie event with an array of special programmers, photography occasions, impeccable food and beverage, as well as many exclusive, splendid souvenirs to commemorate the rich history and our fond memories of St. John’s.

Tentatively, there will be 111 tables (each of 10 or 12 persons) arranged in “high table setting”. The ticket for each person will be HKD1,912 and early bird (Payment before 1st April 2023) will only be HKD1,700! All tickets will be sold on a table of 10/12 basis i.e., HKD17,000 for a table of 10 or HKD20,400 for a table of 12. We will then send you a payment request and you will only need to settle the payment before 1st April 2023 to secure your booking. If we do not receive the payment after the due day, your table(s) will be released to other alumni. All surplus of the event will be donated to St John’s Foundation supporting students’ scholarships, Eco St. John’s and other overseas students’ activities.

Hong Kong has gone through a very difficult period during the pandemic in the past 3 years. A lot of alumni and St. Johnians are yearning for such a golden opportunity to reunite with their dear friends, to celebrate our 111th Anniversary and the post-pandemic normalization. Therefore, please act quickly and secure a seat for you and your sisters/brothers at the “One & Only One”!

St John’s is incredibly proud to celebrate our 111th anniversary in 2023.

A series of celebratory activities will take place over the coming year to highlight St. John’s rich history and to reunite our alumni
and students together. Currently on our list are a home-coming fun day in SJC, an exhibition in HKU campus, coupled with a lot of impressively high-quality souvenirs for purchase.

To make all these happen, an Organising Committee of alumni and current students has been formed and the members are working hard for the preparatory work.

You are cordially invited and reminded to pencil mark the important date of our flagship event - The Grand Reunion at HKCEC, on 18 November 2023 (Saturday).

The Grand Reunion has a very special name - One, Only One Memorabilia - which combines the lucky number 1 with the Latin word Memorabilia meaning things that are remarkable and worthy of remembrance.

The event is estimated to host more than 1000 alumni and students with a lot of joyful and memorable programmes.

Golf for Beginners

Dear Alumni and St. Johnians,

We are very pleased to announce that we will conduct a beginner’s course for those who want to learn golf and also want to improve your basic skills in golf. This will be organized on the same day as our Boxing-day Alumni Golf event when you could also see other more experienced golfers playing for the Inter-floor golf competition.

Date: Sunday 26th December 2021 (Boxing Day)
Time: 10 am till 2:30 pm (> 4 hours!)
Venue: Hong Thai Golf Centre (Simulator) Shop 70-79 & 91-97, 2/F, Admiralty Centre.
Fee: HKD300@ include Thai Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks
Participants will be provided with clubs; but for hygiene reasons, you are advised to bring your own golf gloves (or you can pre-order the gloves)
