2018年行政長官施政報告提出「明日大嶼願景」計劃，現在已時隔五年之久。

計劃規模龐大，一旦推行將影響香港未來數十年的整體規劃。而公眾諮詢期亦在社會上不斷的爭議聲之中完結。計劃對香港長遠的土地供應、經濟、社會、交通、以至生態皆有重大影響，是香港近年最大的發展項目。

以政府現時庫房情況計劃是否還適合實行？計劃將為本地帶來什麼經濟效益？我們應否為了解決土地問題此燃眉之急而對環境造成不可逆轉的傷害？究竟該如何於發展經濟與保護生態兩者中取得平衡？

為了促進同學對此計劃的認識，本會籌備了《社科論壇：明日大嶼·香港未來？》。現誠邀會員出席，一同與嘉賓 本土研究社成員黃肇鴻先生及 劉國勳議員（現任立法會發展事務委員會副主席）探討「明日大嶼願景」計劃的可行性

Dear members,

The Nomination Period of the By-Election for Social Sciences Society, HKUSU, Session 2023 has ended at 19th February, 2023. No nomination has been received. As there are still vacancies without valid nomination, the Nomination Period will be reopened from 20th February, 2023 to 21st February, 2023 at 23:59.

The Nomination Period will be reopened for the following vacancies:

- Current Affairs Secretary
- Academic Secretary
