LA Orientation Programme 2026
The Law Association is delighted to present all freshmen with an exciting journey this summer. Before the new academic year begins, we hope to provide you with the following opportunities to meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. If you are joining our family here at the Faculty of Law, be sure to note the following important dates to cap off your summer and transition into university life!
1. Registration Day
Date: 8–9 August 2026 (Saturday–Sunday)
Reporting Time: 09:15–13:45 (varies from one curriculum to another)
Venue: Grand Hall, Centennial Campus, the University of Hong Kong (our helpers will bring you from Grand Hall to our booth located in Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus)
2. Orientation Night
Date: 11 August 2026 (Tuesday)
Time: 18:30–22:00
Venue: UG201&207, Composite Building, The University of Hong Kong, and
Library Extension 2&3, the University of Hong Kong
3. Orientation Camp
Date: 14–16 August 2026 (Friday to Sunday)
Venue: HKYWCA Sydney Leong Holiday Lodge, San Shek Wan, Lantau Island
4. Mass Orientation
Date: 22 August 2026 (Saturday)
Time: 10:30–20:45 (Reception starts at 10:00)
Venue: Philip K.H. Wong Theatre, 2/F Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus, the University of Hong Kong
5. Orientation Tea Gathering for Latecomers and Exchange Students
Date: 28 August 2026 (Friday)
Time: 14:00–16:00
Venue: Combined Seminar Rooms, 3.19, 3.22, 3.23, 3/F, Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus, the University of Hong Kong
6. Sports Touch Day
Date: 30 August 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 14:00–18:00
Venue: Pitch 2, Stanley Ho Sports Centre, the University of Hong Kong

Registration Day 2026
Welcome to the warm family of the Faculty of Law, the University of Hong Kong! If you are a freshman taking either the BA&LLB, BBA (Law) &LLB, BSc&LLB, BSocSc(Govt&Laws)&LLB, or the LLB programme, do not miss your chance to join us on Registration Day 2026! In addition to participating in the non-academic Induction Talk by CEDARS and the Faculty Induction Talk, registering with your Faculty Society is an indispensable part of your journey as an HKU Law student. Becoming a member of the Law Association on Registration Day means you will be joining the rest of your fellow peers to enjoy our welfare and activities, having your voices represented, and embarking on your journey as a law student.

Be sure to bring enough cash with you on Registration Day! We humbly suggest bringing around HKD $3,000, which is ample for signing up for various orientation events held by various student organisations.
Moreover, you may also bring stationery, water, ID card and passport photos.
Reminder: Pre-registration is mandatory for joining this event due to crowd control measures. Starting from 5 August 2026 (Wed), the official website (https://www.studentbodyregistration.hku.hk/) will be available for browsing event details. Pre-registration will open at 5:00p.m. on 6 August 2026 (Thu) via the same link.

Dean's Meeting I
The Dean's Meeting I of the Law Association, HKUSU, Session 2026-2027 was successfully held on 14 April 2026 (Tuesday).
