Due to the success of HKUST ECE teams, ECE professors want to expand participation of ECE teams (including faculty, staff, current students and alumni) in Oxfam Trailwalker next year. For those who are interested, even if you don't have a team, we will try to help coordinate teams among those expressing interest. Also,
if you are just interested in supporting but not walking, you are also very welcome. We are seeking both walkers as well as those willing to help organize teams or training and also supporters!

Convoy Cosmoboys Team 3, the team of HKUST ECE year1 student Chan Wai Tik, finished the race in 14 hours and 44 minutes.
They achieved their goal of finishing the race in about 14-15 hours and even ranked the eighth in the Oxfam Trailwalker this year!!!
Congratulations on their tremendous effort with great results!
Apart from the HKUST ECE professors team, the team of our ECE Professor Mansun Chan also managed to finish the race in 32 hours and 28 minutes, but unfortunately not in a full team. Due to the rain, one of their members from CUHK got injury on his knee and had to quit during the race. Let's express our appreciation to the engineering professors especially the injured runner!

Good news!!!
Our ECE professors team ranked second in the Education category in the Oxfam Trailwalker 2011!
Also there were four teams from HKUST MBA ranking top in the list!

ECE Professors finally raised HK$40,550, exceeding the fundraising target of HK$40,000!!!
They successfully reached the goal, completed the mission and helped raise public awareness towards poverty!

Thankful notes from HKUST ECE Professors Team:
Thank you everyone for your support for our team, which really helped us stay motivated over the entire time. Including offline donations, we have our fundraising goal by more than 10%. We finished TW2011 with all four team members crossing the line together at 6:13pm on Saturday, 19 November after 29 hours and 43 minutes of walking. Thanks to George, James and Ling for accompanying us on the start (walking with us on stages 1-3) and George and Ling for walking with us on stages 9-10. We would also like to thank Andrea, Beibei, Nicole and Ophelia for supporting us at checkpoint 3 and Roger for supporting us at checkpoint 8 and at the finish.
