The TRC-DMH is pleased to support the “Secondary School Mental Health Innovation Competition 2026,” organised by the Hong Kong Society of Psychological Innovation (香港創新心理學會) in partnership with MindHK and KELY Support Group, and supported by The Hong Kong Psychological Society.
We invite principals, teachers and counselling teams at Hong Kong secondary schools to encourage students to participate by designing creative mental health booths for the Psychology & Mental Health Fair 2026, themed “A Mental Health Village,” to be held at Kai Tak AIRSIDE.
Building on previous fairs at Central Market, which attracted over 50,000 visitors, this year’s fair will provide a valuable platform for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork and commitment to youth mental health in the community.
Key competition details:
• Open to Hong Kong secondary school students in teams of 2–6
• Each team submits a pitch deck, a 1–3 minute presentation video, and an optional booth concept sketch
• Top three teams will be invited to showcase their booths at the Fair, receive mentorship and a certificate
• Application deadline: 18 June 2026
Students will gain hands-on experience in designing, building and running an interactive booth that promotes youth mental health. For full details, please refer to the competition poster and guidelines, or contact the Hong Kong Society of Psychological Innovation at info@hkspico or 4415 8281.

This week, the team from Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health returned to the Hong Kong International Medical and Healthcare Fair, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
Building on the success of last year’s event, the Centre took to the HKTDC seminar stage once again with a new session, “Accelerating Mental Health Innovation through AI Research and Adoption”. Dr Fowie Ng shared how AI-driven research can enhance prevention, early identification, and personalisation in mental health care, highlighting real-world opportunities and challenges in implementation. 🧠🤖
The seminar also featured a public discussion panel with Mr Stephen Wong, Deputy Director of MHAHK, and Mr Kevin Yeung, CEO of Radiance Tech Ltd., who explored how cross-sector collaboration, ethical practice, and practical adoption strategies can bring AI-enabled mental health solutions into everyday services.
On the fairgrounds, the TRC-DMH exhibited its new commercial product, EverJoy VR, an evidence-based immersive VR platform designed for older adults living in residential aged care. Through nature-based and reminiscence VR scenarios, EverJoy VR aims to promote relaxation, engagement, and emotional well-being for older adults in care settings. 👨🦳👵🌿
Thank you to all the visitors and partners who stopped by our session and exhibition. ❤️
