Mr Titus Chan, an Arts student majoring in Philosophy and one of the winners of the “Hong Kong Outstanding University Students Award” in 2025, shared his journey. Blending philosophy, racing, acting, and volunteerism, he credited his diverse passions and philosophical training for shaping his critical thinking and empathy—proving that true fulfillment comes from both self-exploration and giving back to society.

On 29 May 2026 (Fri) afternoon, Prof Vincent Leung (Department of History), Prof Lisa Leung (Department of Cultural Studies), Prof Isaac Hui (Department of Translation), Prof Chiu Wai Wai (Department of Philosophy), Prof Ken Tso & Dr Tobby Kan (Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries), and Dr Chan Wai Chung (Department of Chinese), participated in the Reception for Principals and Teachers organised by Registry. They connected with principals and teachers from HKDSE schools, showcasing the strengths of the Arts Faculty. Alumni and current Arts students were also invited to share their stories on holistic development in Lingnan during the panel discussion.

展覽將以元末（1271—1368）至近現代的水墨畫、瓷器、漆器及玉器為切入點，展示四季、山水、仙境和太空題材，探討中國文化對時間的概念，以及時間在具象化後如何成為情感的載體。🔖

展覽現正開放予公眾免費登記參觀，嶺南大學職員及學生更無須提前預約！把握展期時間前往參觀，讓展覽重塑你對時間的理解和思考！⏳

The exhibition begins with ink paintings, porcelain, lacquer, and jade from the late Yuan (1271–1368) to the modern era, unfolding imagery of the seasons, landscapes, immortal realms, and space. Through them, we glimpse how the Chinese conception of time was shaped, and how, when embodied in art, time became a vessel for feeling. 🔖

General admission is free and open to all members of the public. Lingnan University staff and students can visit without an appointment. Catch the exhibition before it ends to reshape your understanding and perception of time!

嶺大中文系學生盧倍安透過文學訓練帶來的敏銳觀察力與情感理解，將語言魅力融合人工智能，他的團隊在創新創業大賽奪冠，在2025年更獲得「十大傑出留學生」殊榮！在文章中，他分享了自身的故事，文科生可能會面對的刻板印象，展示大灣區跨文化交流新機遇。

Ms Lu Beian, an Arts student majoring in Chinese, triumphed in a startup competition by combining literary skills with AI, earning the "10 Outstanding International Students" award. By sharing her journey in the article, she highlights new intercultural opportunities in the Greater Bay Area and the breakthrough of some stereotypes that arts students might confront.

【香港經濟日報報道：AI繙譯外語零門檻 「譯後編輯」更搶手】

📈 AI普及使基礎、機械式轉譯面臨淘汰，而同時市場對『人工修正機器繙譯』的譯後編輯、語料與術語管理等方面，需求正在增加。身兼歐洲語言理事會AI專家組成員的繙譯系教授王斌華指出，AI難以捕捉文化差異，專業人才的跨文化傳意與把關不可或缺。他強調，AI是強力工具，但不是萬能的解答，有準確性問題與錯誤風險，故每次應用必須進行後期編輯，尤其在醫療、法律等高風險領域上。
