𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞:
As Artificial Intelligence accelerates toward agentic autonomy in 2026, the global academy faces an existential "pivot point." For centuries, the university has functioned as a repository for explicit knowledge, the facts, formulas, and logic that can be codified and transmitted. However, as the marginal cost of explicit information plummets toward zero, the university’s traditional value proposition is collapsing. Ultimately, we must move from externalizing human knowledge to train AI, to internalizing machine insights to enrich human intuition. The mission of the future university is to ensure that in an age of automated thought, the "Ghost in the Machine" remains human.

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫: Michael Schindhelm — Author, filmmaker, curator, cultural consultant, quantum chemist
Michael Schindhelm is known for his multifaceted contributions to the arts. He has served as the general director of Theater Basel and Opera Foundation Berlin, and between 2009–2012 he was involved in the master planning of the West Kowloon Cultural District. His latest projects include the documentary on Hong Kong's art scene In the Mood for Art (2023), and the exhibitions The End of Aging (2024) on longevity, and After the Deluge (2025) on climate change.

Organised by Kowloon True Light School, the 7th International Youth Forum was successfully held on Dec 15, 2025. This year's theme, “ ‘Innovative’ Solutions for Effectively Advancing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” encouraged all school teams to discuss the given topic, with a maximum of four participants per team.✨

As one of the Academic Supporting Units, Dr. Martinez Valerie from the Faculty of Arts at The University of Hong Kong served as a judge for the forum. She delivered her comments during the closing remarks, providing valuable insights that we believe students will greatly benefit from.😊
