🌏HTI放射學學生赴泰國交流學習✈️

HTI三位三年級放射學學生於5月前往泰國曼谷朱拉蓬皇家學院 ，展開為期一週的學習交流之旅！

學生於其附屬醫院參與臨床學習，深入了解放射治療計劃、病人護理及日常品質控制工作，拓展區域臨床經驗。🏥

HTI林亮廷教授亦代表團隊與朱拉蓬皇家學院院長及部門主管會面，介紹HTI放射學課程，並就未來合作交流意見。

繼2024年泰國合作夥伴來訪後，今次回訪進一步加深雙方聯繫。期待未來拓展更多區域交流及合作機會，為學生帶來更豐富的國際學習體驗！🌍✨

🌏 HTI Students Gain Clinical Experience in Thailand ✈️

In May, 3 third-year Radiography students from HTI travelled to Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) in Bangkok, Thailand for a one-week study exchange!

At the CRA-affiliated hospital, students gained clinical experience in radiotherapy planning, patient care, and routine quality control. 🏥

Prof. Lin Liang-ting also met with the CRA Dean and Head of Department. He introduced HTI’s Radiography programme and discussed future collaboration.

Following our Thai partners’ visit in 2024, this return visit further strengthened our partnership. We look forward to creating more regional and international learning opportunities for our students! 🌍✨

🌏放射學本科生赴台臨床實習｜拓展專業視野與國際交流🩻✨

早前，15位放射學學生赴台灣4所醫院，進行為期6週的海外臨床實習，親身體驗不同醫療環境及放射學工作流程。💪

學生於義大醫院、台北國泰綜合醫院、台北榮民總醫院及高雄醫學大學附設中和紀念醫院進行實習，在提升專業技能之餘，亦學習跨文化溝通、團隊協作及以病人為本的照護。

同時，HTI亦與義守大學醫學影像暨放射科學系、台北國泰綜合醫院及高雄醫學大學醫學影像暨放射科學系簽署合作備忘錄，持續推動學生交流及學術合作，拓展國際合作網絡！🌏🎓

🌏 Radiography Undergraduate Students Gain Global Clinical Experience in Taiwan 🩻✨

15 Radiography students recently travelled to Taiwan for a 6-week overseas clinical placement at four hospitals, gaining first-hand experience of different healthcare settings and radiography workflows. 💪

Students trained at E-Da Hospital, Cathay General Hospital, Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital, strengthening their clinical skills while developing cross-cultural communication, teamwork and patient-centred care.

HTI also signed MOUs with I-Shou University Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences, Cathay General Hospital, and Kaohsiung Medical University Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Sciences to promote continued student exchange and academic collaboration. 🌏🎓

🏥 長庚大學與四川大學華西醫院分别到訪理大HTI 共探醫學影像與放射科學未來

8月中旬，台灣長庚大學醫學影像暨放射科學系師生與四川大學華西醫院師生先後到訪理大醫療科技及資訊學系（HTI），分別展開為期六天與一週的學術交流。

訪問期間，兩校師生參與了MedTechX會議、實驗室實操訓練，並參觀了香港多家公立醫院的影像診斷及放射治療部門。HTI亦為華西醫院同學詳細介紹了研究生課程與獎學金計劃。

兩岸三校齊聚香江，共探醫學影像與放射科學未來。

🏥 Chang Gung University × Sichuan University West China Hospital Visit PolyU HTI Advancing Medical Imaging and Radiation Science Together

In mid-August, students and faculty members from Chang Gung University's Department of Medical Imaging and Radiological Science, along with a delegation from Sichuan University's West China Hospital, visited PolyU's Department of Health Technology and Informatics (HTI) for academic exchanges.

Both groups took part in the MedTechX conference, hands-on lab training, and hospital visits to Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy departments in Hong Kong. HTI also introduced postgraduate programmes and scholarship schemes to the West China Hospital students.

Three universities, two sides of the strait — united in advancing medical imaging and radiation science.

🎉喜訊｜HTI兩大碩士課程成功獲專業認證🏆

隆重宣佈，醫療化驗科學碩士學位（MMLS）及醫療影像碩士學位（MMI）課程均已成功獲相關法定專業認證機構認證！🎓✨

兩項課程分別於 8月5日及8月13日 收到相關專業委員會發出的認證函及報告，正式確認課程符合專業註冊要求。學生完成課程後，可按相關法例及註冊要求申請成為：
🧪 醫務化驗師（Medical Laboratory Technologist, MLT）
☢️ 放射技師（Radiographer）

此外，相關認證安排亦已刊載於《香港法例》第359章《輔助醫療業條例》（SMPO Cap. 359）憲報，進一步確認兩項專業課程的認證地位。

這項重要里程碑，充分肯定HTI課程的專業水平及培訓質素，為同學踏上醫療專業發展之路奠定堅實基礎！🌟

🎉Good News | HTI Master’s Programmes Receive Professional Accreditation🏆

We’re excited to announce that both the Master of Medical Laboratory Science (MMLS) and Master of Medical Imaging (MMI) programmes have successfully received professional accreditation! 🎓✨

The programmes received their accreditation letters and reports from the respective professional boards on 5 August and 13 August, confirming that graduates can meet the requirements for professional registration as:
🧪 Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)
☢️ Radiographer

The accreditation has also been gazetted under the Supplementary Medical Professions Ordinance (SMPO), Cap. 359, further confirming the professional recognition of both programmes.

PolyU HTI hosted the "Summer Workshop for Future Scholars" from 2 to 7 Aug, outstanding students from Guangzhou, Shanghai, Zhuhai, and Hong Kong gathered at PolyU for a six-day academic exploration.

A series of exciting activities:

AI虚擬病人系統 HTI團隊研發助力癌症精準治療

香港理工大學醫療科技及資訊學系陳穎志教授帶領團隊研發「人工智能虛擬病人模擬系統」，通過多模態數據融合——整合基因、醫學影像、病理及臨床記錄，構建「數碼雙生」模型，實時追蹤病情變化，預測不同治療方案效果。

系統核心創新在於其多模態融合能力，突破單一數據源局限，從多個維度理解患者病情。相關研究成果發表於國際期刊《Medical Image Analysis》。系統入圍2026年全球移動大獎（GLOMO Awards）決賽。

AI Virtual Patient System HTI Team’s Innovation for Precision Cancer Care

Prof. Chan Wing Chi Lawrence, Associate Professor of PolyU HTI, and his team have developed an “AI Virtual Patient Simulation System”.

The system integrates multimodal data — genomics, medical imaging, pathology, and clinical records — to build a “digital twin” model that tracks disease progression in real time and predicts the outcomes of different treatment options.

The system's core innovation lies in its ability to fuse diverse data types, moving beyond single-source limitations to understand patients from multiple dimensions. Research findings have been published in the international journal *Medical Image Analysis*. The system was a finalist at the 2026 GLOMO Awards.
