GE2235 - Global Media, Global Crises

The course seeks to analyse the dynamic relationships between global media and global crises from multidisciplinary perspectives. It will consist of lectures covering the general principles; a group project seeking to apply theoretical insights and examine media coverage of a specific global crisis; and the individual student’s policy statement with a view to enhancing sensitivity to the relationship between academic understanding and policy formation.
