Lynch Bages Tasting (2006, 2005, 2003, 2001 & 2000)
Such a remarkably consistent producer. Even from the so called classic vintages such as 2006 & 2001 showed good character. 2000 is impeccably balanced however, it was surprisingly elegant and definitely ready to drink . 2003 was gorgeous with ample fruit and just very slight hints of drying tannins. No worry to drink up and could be kept for at least 5 more years. And hands down 2005 is the best. Still slightly oaky and restrained on the nose, but it is extremely intense and the finish is long.
