Since last year, members of our Girls' Baseball Team and Fencing Team have come rain or shine to participate in weekly morning run sessions. Every Monday at 6:45 am sharp, team members gather alongside their coach for a 45-minute run around the campus perimeter. Bathed in the early morning sunlight, our students display fantastic spirits, turning high morale into steady perseverance with every single stride! 💪🔥

A special thanks goes to Coach Priscilla, who runs alongside the team every week—leading by example and being a good role model for students. 👏

This dedication serves as the bedrock for honing their skills and preparing for upcoming challenges. The athletes are eager to reach new heights in open competitions and bring pride to our school! 🧡

We truly admire the wholehearted commitment of every participating student! Whether you are a varsity team member or not, staying physically and mentally healthy is equally vital. May our students carry this morning-run spirit into their daily training and everyday lives—running further and achieving more together! 🏅

🎤 Voices of Our Students
Grade 7 – MAN Yam Pok Jaycus: "Why run every week? Because it builds up physical fitness." When asked if he started last year, he smiled: "No, I was still in primary back then!" And is it tough? "Definitely tough," he admitted—yet he continues to turn up and give it his all every week!

Grade 7 – LEUNG Jayden: "Why run? It improves our stamina and helps us control our breathing." When asked if managing his breathing was key to preparing for competitions, he gave a firm: "Yes!"

We are delighted to share the latest achievements of our Grade 9 student Michelle Kwong.

"My Voice – Your Score", the song Michelle wrote at thirteen, with lyrics, melody and voice all her own, has had quite a year. She premiered it herself at Freespace in the West Kowloon Cultural District in January, where it was a prizewinner in the composition stream of the first Hong Kong MusicalCon 2026 and she was the youngest composer in the field. Within three months she had sung it with full orchestra twice, accompanied by the Hong Kong Youth Orchestra at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and by the Inheritage Philharmonic Orchestra at Hong Kong City Hall. In July it took First Prize with Special Mention in Composition at the BACH International Music Competition, and in August it was named a Platinum Winner in Composition at the 8th Fenix Award International Music Competition.

Now the song has faced a different kind of test. The Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong (CASH), the professional body of Hong Kong's songwriters, has confirmed that Michelle's nominated work has passed the review of its Awards Consultation Committee, a panel of CASH directors, veteran music critics and a veteran scholar. The song has been entered in two categories of the CASH Golden Sail Music Awards 2027: "CASH Best Song" and "Best Young Composer's Serious Composition". To be accepted by a panel of that calibre, and to be listed alongside works by Hong Kong's professional singers, lyricists and composers, is already an honour. At fourteen, Michelle is among the youngest composers in the city to have a work accepted by CASH, and it is a work she wrote, composed and performs herself.

The awards have not slowed her down. Over the summer she joined "From Spark to Score: A Music Composition Workshop" in the 2026 Summer Program for the Gifted and Talented at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, to sharpen her composition technique and open up a new way of working. At the programme's sharing session at CUHK on 29 August, she premiered her another new song, composed, written, played on the piano and sung by Michelle herself, and closed her summer holiday on stage.

Our school motto asks every student to be "Passionate to Learn, with Confidence; Determined to Succeed, with Vision". Michelle has chosen her path and is walking it with exactly that passion and determination. We congratulate her on each of these achievements and wish her every success at the Golden Sail Music Awards and in the music still to come.👏

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that LO Chi Chia Jayden, our outstanding GCE A‑Level 2026 candidate with a stellar 5A* result, has been awarded the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme, one of the most competitive and prestigious scholarships in the territory.

To be named a recipient is a rare and distinguished achievement that places Jayden among an elite cohort of scholars. With an extremely low acceptance rate, the recipients are selected through a gruelling multi‑stage process that evaluates not only academic prowess, but also leadership potential, research aptitude, and a clear vision for the future.

A remarkably talented 16‑year‑old, Jayden had already secured an unconditional offer from the University of Oxford this January. This month, he will pursue his passion for quantum physics at Oxford (MPhys in Physics).

Jayden firmly believes that physics is the very foundation of societal progress. He shares: "Quantum physics has the greatest potential to change the future — from more accurate weather forecasting to healthier agricultural resources… these can all make a tremendous contribution to humanity."

Please join us in congratulating Jayden on this truly exceptional feat. We have no doubt that he will continue to shine on the global stage and make invaluable contributions to science and society. Our best wishes follow him as he embarks on this exciting new chapter abroad! 👏🏻

Red Carpet of Gratitude🍎✨

The red carpet has always symbolised honour, respect, and appreciation. Today (10th September), organised by the Moral and Civic Education Team, we gathered to celebrate Teachers’ Day. We transformed the main campus avenue into a pathway of gratitude to remind us that every step our teachers walk alongside us deserves our deepest respect. It gave students a wonderful opportunity to turn their respect and gratitude into meaningful, practical actions.

As our teachers arrived on campus, students lined the path, clapping and cheering from the heart. Every personalised thank-you card, every throat sweet (a little token of care for hardworking voices), every refreshing drink, and that surprise tribute video packed with heartfelt messages 📹💌 all shared the very same sentiment: We see all your dedication, we hold it close to our hearts, and we thank you most sincerely.

Teachers deserve recognition far beyond a single day. Our dedicated teachers deserve to be respected in every single lesson, appreciated in every moment, and cherished for their patience, wisdom, and steadfast support.

To all our teachers: thank you—not just today, but every single day. We are deeply grateful for your guidance and support. 💕

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the parents who joined us at last Friday’s (4 September 2026) Curriculum & SD Briefing. With more than 1,000 parents in attendance, the evening was a tremendous success and a true celebration of our strong home–school partnership.

The event began with an inspiring address from our Chief Principal, Dr. Benjamin Chan, M.H., whose words set a visionary tone for the evening. He shared three powerful messages with every parent:

- Give your child the pen to draw their own path. Instead of telling children exactly what to do, let them explore and discover—this is how their true potential and “little universe” will shine.

- Growth is a gradual process. Growth is a gradual journey. For grade 1 students, primary school life may feel unfamiliar at the beginning. Yet, trust in this learning path — growth and achievement unfold step by step, little by little, rather than happening all at once.

- Believe in the school and partner with us. Our teachers act as “spark plugs” to ignite a love for learning. When parents and the school work hand in hand, we create an environment where children can grow without unnecessary pressure, allowing their unique talents to flourish.

Dr. Chan illustrated these points with the story of an alumna who went on to MIT and Oxford, and even represented Hong Kong in the Asian Games women’s football team. She began as an ordinary child in our classrooms, but her success was built on perseverance, curiosity, and a supportive community that believed in her.

Our principals from the Secondary Division, Mr. Sam Tang and Dr. Rizwan, were present to offer their support, while Mr. Kelvin Lee, Head of Primary, together with our Primary Division senior management team, provided valuable guidance to help parents better understand the learning journey ahead.

Our dedicated subject teachers delivered engaging presentations and hosted booths that gave parents practical insights into curriculum expectations and classroom practices. Parents also had the opportunity to meet class teachers, strengthening collaboration and ensuring that every child’s growth and wellbeing are supported.

Behind the scenes, our office staff, IT staff, and janitorial team worked tirelessly to create a welcoming environment for all.

The wonderful feedback from the parent community is a testament to the dedication and teamwork of our entire school.

Once again, we thank our parents for their enthusiastic participation and our staff for their hard work and preparation. Together, we will continue to ensure the success and wellbeing of our students.

Wishing everyone a fantastic academic year ahead!

🎥 We are immensely proud of our alumna, Sean (陸愷晴), who has officially embarked on her journey to represent the Hong Kong Women’s Football Team at the Asian Games 2026!

This marks Sean’s very first appearance at the Asian Games. With her valuable overseas playing experience, she hopes to help the Hong Kong team achieve outstanding results.

Let’s look forward to her inspiring sharing, cheer her on together, and wish her every success on this exciting stage! 🌟⚽

We had a positive start at A-School welcoming our new Grade 1 students to HKBUAS.

Our students jumped straight into primary school life, spending two exciting mornings at the orientation sessions, getting to know their new classmates and teachers. Between hands-on, interactive lessons and fun team building activities, the classrooms were filled with big smiles, bright energy, and plenty of new friendships. It was the perfect way to build confidence for the year ahead!
