首先，我還是要強調，生字的重要性💪🏻

先送大家5 sets 有用詞句:
the crash took place around 5:30p.m
= 意外約在下午5:30發生
swerve (v) to avoid
= 轉軚回避
firemen were called to the scene
= 消防員被召喚到場
leave (v) ten passengers injured and five dead
= 造成10名乘客受傷及五名乘客死亡
die (v) while being taken to hospital
= 送院期間死亡

首段先交待傷亡人數、日期、地點
參考句構：
Ten passengers were injured after two buses collided on Nathan Road yesterday at 5:45p.m. .
後段才逐段講事發經過，再講多次傷亡人數，可加插救援人員到場情況及意外起因調查等

用the victim, the 14-year-old, the injured woman等去帶出當事人，不要一味地He/She/They

Abandon (v) 拋棄
大家都知，Abandon 解「拋棄」
但用法你又識幾多個？

1. Abandon 最常用於講「人」或「動物」，此處解「拋棄」
e.g. The family abandoned their child/ dog.
那家人拋棄了自己的孩子/狗。

2. Abandon 也可講「地方」，此處解「棄守」
e.g. The army abandoned the city and retreated to their base.
軍隊棄守城市，退回基地。

3. Abandon後可跟policy, plan, reform等字，此處解「停止進行」
e.g. The Government has quietly abandoned the reform.
政府悄悄地停止進行改革。

4. 更有趣的是，Abandon可和belief (信念)一起使用，此處解「失去」
e.g. Many have abandoned the belief that marriage is an essential part of life.
很多人都不再相信/不再認為婚姻是生命必要的一環。
