HKDI創意多媒體插畫工作坊兩位專業導師 Harvey Chan及Chow Lee將於2015年1月17至29日，假 藝林畫廊舉辦畫展，歡迎參觀。

The two professional instructors of HKDI's Creative Multimedia Illustration Workshop, Harvey Chan and Chow Lee will have a joint exhibition at Artland Gallery from 17 to 29 Janurary 2015.

Dennis於9月26日為我們講解了香港視覺特效設計的發展、優勢和機會，並展示了PO朝霆製作的效果震撼的視覺特效片段。Dennis說：「特效設計需求大，入職月薪已過萬，有水準的話，7、8年後已可達9萬，甚至更高。」同時Dennis亦介紹了由PO朝霆支持的「視覺特效設計專業文憑」：
- 全港唯一資歷架構第四級、由業界支持的視覺特效設計專業文憑課程
- PO朝霆將派出專業團隊教授部份單元，學員可學到業界的實戰技巧

「專業鋼琴調音」講座圓滿舉行
鋼琴調音師此專業有很大的發展空間，有見及此，HKDI 與跨國音樂集團柏斯琴行 (Parsons Music) 於8月1日首辦專業講座，向觀衆簡單說明如何能成為專業的鋼琴調音師。講座先由HKDI導師 Julian Chan 演奏鋼琴拉開序幕，繼而有HKDI傳意設計及數碼媒體學系高級講師Shirley Cheung 分享對「學習鋼琴、調音」的看法，觀衆能從一個資深音樂教育者的角度，明白鋼琴調音對音樂學習及表演的重要性。
緊接有柏斯琴行代表 Winnie Wong 及資深鋼琴調音師許兆文，簡單介紹鋼琴的構造、發聲原理、鋼琴調音師的入門途徑、柏斯在職培訓的優勢等。Winnie 以生動方式，輕描鋼琴調音師好比「鋼琴醫生」，需作把脈 (檢查鋼琴狀態)、調理身體 (調音) 及對症下藥 (整音、調整)，讓觀衆印象甚深。觀衆尤對許師傳入行經歷、工作趣事、職業晉升、入職要求等方面有興趣，現場反應熱烈。

Congratulations! Three students won the Student Excellence Award sponsored by POSH. Mr. Eric Yim, CEO of POSH presented the awards to the students and gave the students good comments and encouragement. Indeed students’ works are impressive. Thank you for all the students’ participation and good works.

You are cordially invited to HKDI Higher Diploma in Landscape Architecture Graduation Show 2014, from 10– 15 July 2014, 11am-6:30pm, at 4/F, 20 Hing Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

A total of 23 graduates will display their final year projects and other outstanding projects (i.e. “Fine Dying Projects” of all 5 groups, one of them has entered the top 5 finalist for the RSA international competition). As the Higher Diploma Programme in Landscape Architecture was introduced 2 years ago, the first batch of students will be graduating this year and this is a very exciting moment for the industry to see the creativities shared by talented young designers from our newly established programme.

〈親子班〉與駱麗明設計時尚服飾 (7月27日/ 8月3日)
Design your Stylish Fashion with Winsome Lok (27 Jul / 3 Aug)

「時尚刺繡設計工作坊」的首堂已於六月二十日進行，各同學於短短兩小時的工作坊，掌握了以造花的基本技巧。而下一堂同學將會學習用不同的物料創作時尚配飾。

The first series of "Contemporary Embroidery Decoration Design Workshop" was kicked off last Friday of June 20. All students pick up the basic skills of floral making in a two-hour workshop. They will learn how to use different materials especially laces to create more sophisticated design in our next workshop.
