Last Friday’s End of Term Assembly was a true celebration of our community spirit! Our audience of 1500 was treated to a delightful array of musical performances and a dance rendition from our recent production of Little Shop of Horrors.

Our student leaders reflected on the highlights of the term—from House events and cultural celebrations to achievements in sports and the arts. What a wonderful way to close our first term and welcome the holidays!

On 21 Nov, our Year 11 students explored the Hotel & Tourism Institute / International Culinary Institute (HTI/ICI), gaining a taste of the IB Career-related Programme. From touring the campus to watching a live cooking demo, they discovered how hands-on training prepares students for global careers in hotels, catering, cruise ships, and beyond.

Equipped with communication, problem‑solving, and sustainable practices, our graduates become more aware of sustainable practices and effective budgeting and cost management, which helps them step confidently into higher education, internships, and career opportunities across the hospitality industry.

Book Week was a tremendous success. With the theme, 'Symphony of Stories', it brought together both primary and secondary students in friendly competition in a wide variety of activities ranging from bakeoffs to storytelling, quizzes to reading camps. DC was buzzing with the love of reading!

We thank all parent volunteers, teachers, staff, and students for their contributions and support in nurturing our readers and we hope the joy of reading continues into the holiday season!

Yesterday evening was truly special! After a 2-year gap, some of our DC alumni reunited on campus to reconnect with classmates and teachers. From the Class of 2014 to our newest graduates of 2025, it was heartwarming to see alumni sharing stories and laughter.

A few of our ex-staff joined us to celebrate this occasion. Staff and alumni connected on a personal level and moments like these reflect the true spirit of DC, which lasts beyond a student's time at school.

Thank you to everyone who came back to make this gathering so memorable. We can’t wait to see you again at next year’s alumni meet-up!

In the past few weeks, our DC Cobra athletes have shown incredible skill, determination, and team spirit in a series of tournaments.

U20 Boys Football: After a commanding 3–1 victory over Po Leung K*k Lee Shing P*k College last week, the team is set for their biggest match finals against YMCA on 11 Dec.

U11 Boys & Girls Football: At the HKPSSA Kowloon Football Festival held on 20 November, our young Cobras battled through tough matches and the U11 Boys A Team emerged as Champions.

U20 Netball: Ending the season on a high, the team won the ISSFHK Division 3 finals and will go on to play the ACAMIS Tournament at ISF Academy on 9 & 10 Jan.

Congratulations to all our students for these outstanding achievements, and best of luck in the upcoming matches. Go Cobras!

Special thanks to Alex (Y13 student) for capturing U20 Football highlights.

Last week, our Secondary Production of Little Shop of Horrors lit up the stage and had the audience (a full house!) rolling in laughter and applause. Every single student delivered a stellar performance, and we couldn’t be prouder!

This magical production was made possible thanks to the countless hours of practice and dedication from our incredible cast and crew. From our phenomenal lighting and sound teams, hair and makeup artists, and the staff behind the scenes—from stage set-up to props creation—to our arts and music team for their fabulous contributions, and of course, our Theatre team who drove this vision to life… a huge thank you to each and every one of you.

A heartfelt thank you to all the parents who joined us in celebrating this achievement and supporting our students all the way.

We are already counting down to the next production!

Today, our community came together for our 'We Stand With Tai Po' Fundraising Day to support those affected by the tragedy. All students and staff came together wearing black ribbons and stickers designed by student leaders.

We’re proud to share that over HKD $50,000 has been raised to support Wang F*k Court residents in rebuilding their homes.

Thank you to our staff, students, and families for your generosity and compassion. We will continue to accept donations next week at the DC Reception.

Last Friday, our Year 1 students proudly showcased their learning on structures as part of the 'How the World Works' unit during the Unit of Inquiry Stay and Play event. Families were invited to explore the children’s discoveries about natural and manufactured structures, and it was inspiring to see our young learners explain how their ideas came to life.

This event not only highlighted their hard work but also fostered a wonderful sense of community, bringing Year 1 families together to celebrate the achievements of our young learners.

Thank you parents for your support as always!

On 19 November, Discovery College celebrated International Men’s Day with a week of interactive activities designed to address the challenges men face while promoting positive masculinity.

Students and staff enjoyed a variety of engaging events, including a photo booth, buddy reading sessions, a tie-tying competition, and notably, a guest speaker, Matt Orr, the Captain of the Men's Hong Kong National Football Team, who shared his perspective on the importance of mental health in sports.

The week also spotlighted the 'R U OK?' campaign, encouraging open conversations and reminding our community that it’s always okay to talk about feelings and seek support during tough times.
